Prologue

"Stop!"

I can hear people shouting the same words. Others are screaming my name out loud. I can see vehicles around. Choppers and ambulances, persuading me to come down, off the bridge rail. My parents, friends and people I don't even know are gathering here, this scenery and ambiance makes me feel like a reunion. A party for me before I depart this world.

"Yrea Xzaver Viezerr!"

My heart literally stopped beating for a couple of seconds. That voice! Oh, how I love to hear that voice of hers. The one that painted lovely colors in my boring world. The one that breath life on my lifeless soul. The one that will always be my choice.

Despite the noises around me, her voice is so distinct. Even from afar, I knew it's her voice. She's here.

"Ms. Viezerr!" I can feel her loud breathing from up here.

"Please come down! I-I have so-something t-to show you!" She sounds so desperate. "Come down, Eyah. Just take my hand and let's talk." From the loud cries, her voice became calm and gentle. There I noticed her pale face. Trembling lips. Swollen eyes.

Just what would you do without me, mon amour? Hmm.

I smiled softly at her.

"You're the loveliest and prettiest girl I ever met." I chuckled. "Of course, excluding my mama there. Save your tears, Ms. Flerio. We both know this isn't the end." I bent down towards her as I whispered those final words.

When I stood up, I shoot her one last glance before I let myself fall into uncertainty.

This is a fucking suicide.

But I know they won't let me. 'Cause how many times has it been?

Seventy three?

Seventy seven?

I can't even keep a clean record. And for the nth time, there's no doubt that my plan to die won't succeed again.

Those people at the bridge, they are not here to save me. They came to keep their dark secret, with me chained to them. And as I felt the cold water engulfed me, I heard his demonic voice again.

"The sole reason of your existence is everlasting life."
