Alec's POV

"I'm a what now?" Alec muttered as he stared down at the grass that was covered in snow and could see snowflakes falling onto the ground, wanting nothing more than to disappear as his whole world turned upside down.
He couldn't believe what he was hearing or seeing that Ithuriel "The Angel of Scarifice" was standing before him on the grounds of Idris. His golden curls and golden eyes, his wings curled up his side. He was truly a beautiful angel.

"Ithuriel, why are you here?" Alec asked and knew he was going to get the exact answer that Ithuriel told him moments before, but he had to hear it again.

"There is a war coming, and The Angels from the Heavens declared The Last Dragon Rider must help defeat Jonathan Morgenstern, who has somehow managed to come back to life. Alexander Gideon Lightwood, you are now a Dragon Rider. You will begin training immediately by The Angels of the Heavens. It's the only way." Ithuriel said in a soft tone that made Alec stare into Ithuriel's eyes, and he just nodded.

Ithuriel stepped forward and without meaning too. Alec flinched out of Ithuriel's reach, but his hand touched The Angels, and Alec let out a scream of pain. This was the worst pain he had ever felt in his life and he could see images and flashes of The Heavens And saw a a beautiful White stone that was huge and it disappeared before his eyes and he fell to the ground and he looked up to see Jace, Izzy, Clary, Simon, and Finally Magnus running towards him in the distance and he passed out.

"I think he's coming too." Alec could hear Magnus talking but just couldn't have the strength to open his eye. He was so dizzy that it was like he was underwater and struggling to get out but couldn't, and he just wanted to get out.

"Just breathe." Alec took a deep breath and followed the voices instructions and slowly opened his eyes and everyone stared at him with concern, but his eyes were focused on his husband Magnus Bane.

"Hey." Alec whispered, and Magnus just smiled slightly, "Hey. You had us all worried back there."

"Are we not in Idris anymore?" Alec asked as he slowly sat up and saw that he was no longer on the grounds of Idris but his home, which was Magnus's apartment. Izzy rushed over to Hug her brother, and he hugged her back.

She finally let go, and Alec felt tired all over again. Magnus noticed immediately, and he could see Magnus waving his hands, and everyone was starting to leave until it was just them.

"Magnus. How long was I out."

"Six days." Magnus replied, and Alec stared at him in complete shock. He didn't know what to say or what else to ask, and he felt a small pulse on the palm his left hand and looked down and noticed a mark. It wasn't a rune, but it looked like a mark, completely black, and the mark looked like a dragon. The dragon curled up inside a tiny ball, and Alec swore it moved, but it felt alive once he stared at it long enough.

"What the hell is this?" Alec whispered.

"It's the Mark of a Dragon Rider." Magnus said, and Alec's pulse quickened because he already knew and had yet to tell Him about everything he saw.

"You wanna tell me what's going on?" Magnus asked gently, and Alec was hesitant for some odd reason, but he trusted Magnus with all his heart.

"It was Ithuriel." Alec said but before Magnus could even say anything else, Alec continued, "Ithuriel was there telling me that I was the Last Dragon Rider in existence and Jonathan Morgenstern is back and even Ithuriel doesn't know how he came back."

"That's a lot to take in." Mangus said, and his eyes glanced over to the door where his sons were taking a much needed nap. He sat down on the sofa and laid his head back on the cushion.

"Are you mad at me?" Alec whispered.

Magnus looked at Alec, and his blue eyes were glazed with worry, and he walked over to Alec and pulled him close.
He ran his fingers through his dark hair, and Alec couldn't help but lean into his husband's touch. His hand was so warm, and the little touches sent a chill down his spine, and he just wanted to be swept away and never go back up to the surface.

"No darling. I'm not mad. Just suprised because there hasn't been a single dragon rider since they were all wiped out, and that was a very long time ago, maybe even before I was born. I've heard the tales and such, but never in all of my years of living that you would be the first and last Dragon Rider to appear once more."

Alec smiled but still felt nervous about this whole thing, but Magnus was with him, and right now, he just wanted to forget about today, and Alec knew exactly what was going to distract him.

"Daddy!" The sound of Max's voice made him smile, and he turned his head and saw him standing there. Blue skin and his tiny little horns. Max was wearing his pajamas, and he had a huge smile on his face and ran up to the couch and leaped onto Alec's lap.

"Dad. I miss you!" Max said.

"I miss you too, Buddy." Alec pulled him into a crushing hug, and he kissed his horns. Max smiled, and Alec noticed he was staring at the mark . He shyly poked it, and he left a small laugh.

"What is it, bud?" Magnus asked.

"It moved!" Max said with a huge grin.

Alec stared at his palm of his hand and saw nothing, Max let out another giggle, and he looked at Magnus, who shrugged, and Alec just smiled gently.

He kissed his son's forehead.

"All right, buddy, go to bed." Alec said.

Max pouted, "But Daddy, I wanna play with the Dragon!"

Magnus stood up and sat down next to them, and Max pouted slightly and crawled out of his Dad's lap and onto his other. "I know you're excited about your new friend, but Daddy and I need to talk about this."

Max nodded, "Okay. Can you tug me in, please?" Magnus smiled and gently picked his son up and winked at Alec before going into their sons room.

Alec smiled but just frowned as he stared at the Mark, and his heart sped up as he saw the Dragon Twitch and time seemed to stop, and its eyes opened.

This is something new I'm working on, and I hope you guys enjoy it!
