Chapter 5

Alec's POV

"Alec?" Alec blinked and saw that Magnus was sitting on the floor and he was just staring at him with concern.

"Sorry Magnus. I must have spaced out."

"You were gone Alec. You were gone and from the looks of it, You're still a bit lost but we can talk about this later."

Alec smiled, "I love you."

Magnus smiled back, "I love you too Alexander."

He blushed heavily. Alec hated when Magnus used his full name but in this situation he was okay with it, For now.

Magnus sat down and scooted next to him and he laid his Head against Alec's shoulder and placed his hand ontop of his husband's, earning a gentle squeeze.

"How did things go with Jace?" Magnus asked and it made Alec squeeze his hand even harder and he was close to tears but spoke anyway.

"I-it was okay..." He choked out and couldn't hold his emotions in any longer as he broke down sobbing and Magnus pulled him onto his lap and Alec buried his face into Magnus's shirt once more.

"H-He said it was going to take some time but Magnus! I-i can't feel him anymore. It hurt so much!!"

"Alec.... I know I can't help lessen the pain anymore but just don't shut me out. We'll figure this out together but Isabella and Simon are waiting for us both."

Alec took a deep breathe and felt the spark that he fell in love with and Alec blushed once more was he felt Magnus's fingertips slowly go up his thigh.
He quickly rubbed his eyes and looked at Magnus with a small pout, who was just trying very hard not to laugh.

"Seriously Magnus?" Alec muttered.

"How else was i suppose to cheer you up?" Magnus asked as He untangled himself from Alec and stood up, offering his hand to his Husband. Alec smiled and grabbed it but yanked Magnus's hand pulling him closer. Their lips brushed against one another and Magnus was in a daze just from their lips just touching, not that he minded.

"We're not done here." Alec whispered.

"Magnus raised an eyebrow.

Alec pulled away making Magnus confused and heard a small cough. He turned around and saw Isabella and Simon both grinning like idiots.

"You two lovebirds finished yet? Or are you two getting this party started?" Isabella asked and Simon just had a smug look on his face and Alec just wanted to slap it right off his face but needed to play nice for Izzy because Simon and Alec were brother-in-laws.
Sometimes he never understood Simon but was slowly starting too and he was good to his little Sister and that's all that mattered him. He glanced at them and just decided today he would let it slide.

"Haha very funny." Alec grumbled.

Isabella immediately ran over and hugged Alec so tightly that he let out a squeal and Isabella pulled away.

"Alec let's go to the Library and see what we can find." She said and noticed that Magnus and Alec giving each other side glances. Isabella sighed,"All right. Out with it. Tell me what's going on."

"There's no record of Dragon Riders in the Institute's library anywhere."

Magnus said and Izzy raised an Eyebrow, "What do you mean? Didn't Jia Penhallow have some at Idris?"

"Only a few but it wasn't much." Magnus said and Alec sighed heavily.

"Cmon let's go to the Library and check anyway and Simon?" Alec said.
