YG CEO Yang Hyun Suk was very mad. Like crazy mad. An article had started trending online titled "Taennie Proofs and Theories-is Jennie Kim dating Kim Taehyung?".

The list included couple bracelets, clothes even a tattoo on Jennie's arm.  Yang zoomed closer on the picture and read from the tattoo- "xoxo".

A video was linked beneath the article. He clicked into it, bracing for the worst. It was Jennie and Taehyung, caught kissing outside a penthouse. Yang's blood boiled. He could not accept the fact that Blackpink's talented main rapper he had invested in for years -- Jennie Kim was dating. What would people say?

[Jisoo's POV]

"Unnie, are you really sure you are perfectly fine?" Jennie asked for the thousandth time, clutching my hands.

"Yes, why wouldn't I be?" I replied, toying with a fraying piece of thread on my clothes. "I mean, the news with Taehyung and me, and I know you are getting your pills again..." she said. I freed my hand from her grip roughly and repeated, "I'm fine, Jennie!". "Okay, then." she answered, taken aback and left for a meeting with YG.

I stood up from the chair and turned the lock of my door with a faint click. I opened my drawer and fingered the cool metal against my skin that was none too unfamiliar. I wrapped my palms around it, and drew it out. I stared at my hazy reflection on the silver surface, and tried it against my wrist, using just enough strength to feel it running across my skin, but not enough to draw blood, like a young foal daring to run to the edge of a cliff but keeping a safe distance from plummeting to death.

I traced my fingers on the tracks where the blade touched my skin and shivers ran down my spine. With this piece of metal...I could end my misery and pain right on the spot. One jab and I would be free. Free from that darned Kim Taehyung that I went crazy over. But I couldn't bring myself to take the knife and sink the blade into my wrist. Even if he loves Jennie. Even if I know I'll never get to be the one he pays his whole heart and soul to.

I always imagined, what would life be if I were Taehyung's girlfriend? The word "imagine" cut my daydreams short every time. Cupid shot his arrow right to my heart, but Lady Luck wasn't on my side. The Lady smiled on Jennie and laid out the flower path for her. At last, Themis' scales of justice tilted my opposite way and won her the game of love.
