Vikings of Berk

Chapter 1

Audrey’s POV:

 Sunlight shined through my bedroom window and onto my face. I pulled my blanket over my face and rolled over. “Audrey, wake up!” I heard my father yell from downstairs. I pretended to not hear and closed my eyes. Suddenly, I heard someone coming up the stairs. I laid still and pretended to sleep. Two strong hands grabbed my ankles and dragged me out of bed. “OW!” I yelled as my head hit the floor. A familiar laugh was heard as I sat up. “Sven!” I yelled as I blew my bangs out of my face.

“Didn’t you hear your father?” he said while catching his breath from laughing. “Ever heard of personal space?” I replied.  “Whatever”, he said with a grin. “Hurry up and get dressed. You know how much Twilight enjoys early morning rides.” he continued. “Yeah yeah I’m going. I’ll meet you downstairs.” I replied as I got up from the floor. Sven walked downstairs and I got dressed. My usual gear is a red tank top, armored skirt with tights, hand wrappings, brown fur boots, and a headband with my long hair in a braid.

I grabbed my sword and headed downstairs. My father and Sven were at the dining table eating breakfast. “Morning dad.” I said as I sat down. “Good morning sweetie. How did you sleep?” he replied. “Wonderfully until I was waken.” I glared at Sven who was holding in his laugh. Dad laughed a hearty laugh. “Thank you Sven.” He said. “Anytime, sir.” Sven laughed. “Oh Audrey, I forgot to tell you yesterday. That boy Vali came looking for you.” My father quoted.

“It seems like he always is.” Sven replied in an annoyed tone. “He just won’t stop.” I said. “It’s not your fault guys find you irresistible honey.” My father said as he patted my back. “I can’t wait until you settle down and start a family.” He added. Sven spit out his yak milk and blushed. “Um isn’t it too early to be talking about this?” I asked nervously. “What’s the matter? Your mother and I had you when we were 18.” My father continued. “Bye dad!” I yelled as I rushed outside.

Sven quickly followed and we headed to the stables next to my house. “We’re not speaking about what happened in there.” I said quickly. “Agreed” Sven replied. I fed Twilight and mounted her. “Ready for your morning flight girl?” I asked with a smile. She roared happily and we took off quickly. Sven followed on Vlad, his night fury. Twilight sped towards the forest, and it became difficult to control her. “Slow down Twilight!” I yell while trying to gain control. She continues faster and I get knocked off her, when a giant net is thrown on her.She falls to the ground and a group of Vikings tie her completely. Sven quickly catches me and lands near the Vikings. I angrily draw my sword. “Let go of her!” I said furiously.
