A sharp nudge...a tight slap...a coarse alarm... All those were enough to wake him up from the lulling doz he was having in the middle of the invitees seated before the wedding alter to witness the mingling of the two hearts.

"Aargh!" He was startled as he rubbed the back of his head and blinked his heavy eyelids while fighting hard to understand what was happening around him.

A moment ago he was relishing it to kiss and eat out the most delicious and edible pair of lips and a moment later he was feeling everything opposite.

"Can! Can! Can! Aren't you still awakened enough?" Mrs Divit tried her best not to be rude but she could not help as his son's lethargic attitude towards everything had made her very mad. "How could you be so much irresponsible that you are sleeping in the middle of an important function and particularly when..." Can cut off, "Whatever, Mom...why are making a fuss about trifle things? I had a hectic schedule today, that's why I dozed off. What's the big deal? " Bitterly he explained realising that it was just a dream...a dreamy kiss with his dream girl...bloody hell, how dare he even consider her to be his dream girl! She was just supposed to be his best friend!

"Can!" She placed herself beside him, then inhaled deeply as she let out, "Listen to me carefully." In response, her son nodded his head rubbing the back of his skull when she continued, "something...something terrible has happened..."

"What more?" He shrugged as he did not understand. According to him, it was the marriage itself that was the unfortunate part of the day. Anything more could not worsen his mood that much. Perhaps the dream, he concluded, had the power to make him feel lower than ever. Ya Allah, how could he dare to fancy kissing that forbidden one?

"Can, change your attitude, boy, because what I am gonna tell you next will be more shuddering," Mihirban suggested with impatience.

"Fine, Mom, tell me. What's wrong?" Now he became quite curious as he noticed certain stillness around. As though something horrible was about to come into his view while everyone else already knew it.

"It's about Sanem."

"Well..." He felt uncomfortable and guilty as the flashes of the kiss was still fresh in his memory. Though it was a dream, he still couldn't shake it off entirely.

"She needs you, Can."

"Why?" He failed to look directly into her eyes as he fought with the rising emotion in his chest.

Didn't his dad just tell him those same words in that horrible dream where he was bestowed with a splendid kiss just after the conversation ended up? What if he got lucky in real...oh, yeah!

"Come with me." She holds his hand gesturing him to get up, " the guests are around and I don't think it would be nice if they get any clue to gossip about. Though it seems like these sneaky people have already found some hint, I can not take the risk. We need to get somewhere before I explain to you what happened inside the house."

"Well, well, well...let's get somewhere else then."

Twenty minutes back...

"He is not talking to me. What is my fault that he is not even looking at me, Ayhaan?"

"I don't know, Sanemiya...But I can guess..."

"What? Tell me...tell me something that can fix everything like before."

"I think he is..." Ayhaan hesitated a bit then blurted out, "He might be jealous."

"For what?" Sanem wriggled her brows in puzzlement.

"For the same reason, Sanem, which caused you to punch the face of his first girlfriend." She let out without any apprehension.
