This is what I think the Assassin's tribe markings would look like!
~~~~~
"You're a girl?" says the blue eyed guard, "can you believe it Zane?" He takes in my fire eyes, silver-blond hair, olive skin and my tribe markings. If he was surprised he didn't show it. "She's still a killer Carac" replies Zane, "let's get her to the King". I hear a rustle on my left and know instantly it's Ryia, my wolf companion. The guards hear it too. "Who's there?" says Carac sharply. I put on a confused face. Hopefully will buy it.
"Just an animal" says Zane. My blood boils at how he speaks about my loyal companion. "Come on". As he pulls me to my feet I wince because of the pain in my knee. "Awww, look, she's hurt" drawls Carac. I immediately want to punch him in the face. "Dam" mutters Zane,"shut up Carac." Carac stops making cooing noises at me. "I'll have to carry you" Zane says to me. Is just me or did he blush? "Carry me and I'll chop your hands off" I say sweetly,"anyway, where's that army of your's?"
Crashing noises surround the clearing. "Speak of the devil" I mutter. Guards stand around the edge of the clearing, some with swords drawn and others holding bows. The captain that I saw in the Prince's sleeping quarters stands in front of me. "Who are you?" he asks me,"what is your name?"
"Names are very dangerous Captain, so, why would I tell you mine?" I reply. The muscles in his face work. Sharp pain blossoms on my cheek from where he slapped me. I hiss under my breath. Don't react don't react don't react.
"Is that all?" I ask.
"Get her too the king" he spits.
"She's injured Sir" says Zane.
"She's a killer Zane. You better get that into your head" snaps the Captain. Colour floods Zane's face. "But si-"
"-That's enough. Get her to the king," says the Captain firmly. Zane pushes me forward and I stumble. He grabs my elbow to help me balance. I cut him a glance and he quickly lets go.
Out of the corner of my eye, I see the tip of an arrow amongst the foliage. I hear the recognisable twang of an arrow being released. "Duck!" I yell. I'm lucky they all had good reflexes. Everyone hit the ground, Zane pulling me down with him. The arrow buries itself into a nearby tree.
"SECTOR 3, CATCH THAT CRIMINAL!" shouts the Captain.
"Don't bother,"I say," whoever it was they will be long gone by now."
"Was it an accomplice, by any chance?" asks the Captain.
"No, more like an arch enemy that is hell bent on trying to kill me......only this time he wasn't aiming at me."
"We will question you more when we get back to the castle" he says with a grim smile," Zane, Carac, get her to the king."
