'Rich kid'

As I got back home, I saluted my parents and got right back to my room. I went showering, got dressed super comfy and started doing my homework. By 8p.m., I was done with all my workload and I could finally rest. I did the usual, I watched one episode of my tv series while eating dessert which was swiss roll on that day and read my book. Nothing different from my typical routine . At 10p.m. I went to wish goodnight to my parents.

Next morning I was off to school and thought that everything would be casual except that I saw Briny in the car. Was I losing my brain cells? Maybe. Maybe not.
I guess that Elliot, the driver saw the astonished look on my face as he said
- Hello Miss Avery, this is Briny, your parents suggested me to drop you and this guy at school since you both go to 'Autumn Moon College'
I had the strange feeling that my brain was processing the information slow and as I made sure I understood everything, I answered
- Hi Elliot, yeah sure is smart of a thing
It was a very weird start of morning but hopefully Briny was a year elder than me so we didn't have class together, because it would be too odd to see him everywhere. I always felt so disoriented around him. And foremost, I already had a boyfriend and I was convinced that Nicholas wouldn't be happy at the idea of me spending all my time with someone else, even if I had no interest in Briny.

I kept seeing Brin here and there, after the daily dance classes or at school. He was somehow cool afterall even though I knew he was a total douche. Somedays, it our convos were deep conversations about ourselves and knowing to get to know each other better and other days I highly considered it more like him having this real appreciation to roast me rather than actual conversations. Altogether,I was somehow grateful because he actually talked to me, he really intrigued me for whatsoever reason.

Most people in that school didn't like me, once I heard a girl calling me 'this kid of these rich people, getting everything they ask for' and I know that it was partly true but I also had to be a hard worker to get what I asked for, I always was compared to smarter kids by my parents and they used this to motivate me. Be more like her, be more like your cousin, always the same story time whenever I didn't get perfect grades.

But I knew that the main reason was Nicholas, all the girls seemed to like him or have a crush on him. In a way, I really did understand them as he was so fine and the leader of the football team. Although this year, Briny had joined and he was winning most girls' hearts. I didn't comprehend what they found so interesting in Brin, the main thing he did was roasting us or cracking bad jokes. Even though he was fine I didn't see any other reason for all girls to fall for him. He surely had mesmerising eyes but he was not even that attractive.

I was so excited about the idea of hoco this year. Nick would certainly ask me out and that would be fantastic. Next month, it would make almost a year that 'AN07' existed. And even if at first I was not really sure about us being more than friends, I really don't regret anything, afterall I had lowkey found the perfect one. We had been friends since 2th grade and we always found a way go move one from our fights.
