Bus Station [ 김선우 ]

Chapter 1 : Gummy Bear the Bunny

"I'm going now Mom !"

Shout Hyoson to her mother, Mrs.Seol who's still eating breakfast.

"Hyoson, wait!"

"What is it?"

Hyoson stop at the front door, ready to go to her new school.

"I love you. Have fun at your new school honey!"

Mrs.Seol shouted to her daughter while smiling brightly. Hyoson smiled back.

"I love you too Mom! Goodbye!"

Hyoson exited the house through the front door. It was truly a beautiful day. The air was fresh. Hyoson took a deep breath and started walking to the bus station. While walking , she passed by many buildings such as a mini mart, a kindergarten, a bunch of houses and a hospital. Finally, after 5 minutes of walking, she arrives at the bus station. She sat down and started to admire her surroundings. It was the beginning of spring. Flowers is starting to bloom, the sky is as blue as Hyoson's jacket. The wind was blowing through her black, shoulder length hair. She was truly enjoying the moment until someone sits next to her. She look at the person, it was a school boy, about the same age as her. He has black hair that is parted nicely. His school uniform is clean and crisp. He is carrying a black backpack. Hyoson couldn't help but notice the keychain oh his backpack. It's Jelly Bean the Bunny, her favourite cartoon character. No one she knows like that show anymore. Without realising, Hyoson asked,

"Do you like Jelly Bean the Bunny?"

The boy seem startled. There was silence until the boy replied,

"Ahh you mean the cartoon?"

Hyoson nods her head. The boy continues,

"Yes , it's my favourite show when I was a kid. It is still my favourite show now"

The boy giggles.

"I like that show too! I should introduce myself , I'm Seol Hyoson. Nice to meet you! May I know your name?"

"My name is—"

The boy couldn't finished his sentence because the bus has already arrive. Hyoson stand up while making a gesture with her hand to the boy to enter the bus with her. The boy shakes his head.

"Sorry, this isn't the bus I'm supposed to take"

Hyoson stoped for a second and nodded. She entered the bus and choose a sit with a window beside it. She look out the window to see the school boy smiling and waving at her. She smiled and wave back at him. The bus started moving, leaving the bus station and the boy behind. Hyoson have many questions about the boy she have just met, but the main question that lingers in her mind was, who is he?
