CH. 15 What Exactly is the Game

Rocky's POV

"Don't worry. This game will be simple. I assume you all know how to play hide and seek. It's quite simple. I'll be the seeker and you'll hide." Said Kathryn. "What's the catch?" I said to myself. "Every one go to the meal hall and wait for further instruction." Said Kathryn firmly. "It's not going to be JUST hide and seek, is it?" Asked Leah. "Most likely, there'll be a catch." Said Samantha. "What do we do Sammy?" "I guess we just gotta do what we gotta do."

Melany's POV

"When I call your group, please exit the facility. Group A." Announced Kathryn. All together we exited the facility. Me and Leah were trying to match up our footsteps. "You're so bad at this." Leah said jokingly. "Ditto." I replied. "Guys this is no laughing matter. We know there is going to be a catch. So, we should be prepared for it." Said Sammy. "Sorry!" We said simultaneously in a baby voice. We could tell she was frustrated. We haven't been outside in a few days so, the sunshine felt great on my face. Since makes you tired, almost immediately, I wanted to crawl up like a baby and go to sleep. Maybe this is one of the catches. "There will be a one minute countdown to hide." Said Kathryn. Rocky hid up in a tree, Sammy hid in a trench, Leah hid in a Bush, and I hid with her. We were dead quiet, but our minds were not. We were thankful we hid close enough that we could keep an eye on each other. "Ready or not, here we come!" Said a few unknown voices. Suddenly we all knew what the catch was. A little six year old hid behind a tree. A volunteer had a saw and sawed off her head. Sammy was right, there was a catch.
