She woke with a start, she could sense the presence of the others around her.  She sat up with a groan before opening her eyes.  They stood tense around her probably anticipating an attack from her.  She scanned the room until her eyes landed on Fury.  With a sigh she cracked her neck and stood.  "You're a nuisance," she said.  "I've been called worse," he smirked.  "I'm sure," she said rolling her eyes, "what do you want?"  He sighed, "This could've been avoided if you'd just met with me when I asked."  "So you resort to abduction?  How very American of you, when you don't get your way you force the issue," she hissed.  Rogers frowned, "Abduction?"  She turned to him, "Yeah, you know kidnapping.  You snatched a civilian off the streets with no provocation.  What exactly was I doing to garner the interest of the Avengers and S.H.I.E.L.D.?"  She was met with silence, Fury even looked mildly embarrassed.  "Exactly," she snarled, "I was bar hopping and chain smoking.  My daily activities.  Last time I checked none of that is cause for alarm or evidence of some world domination scheme."  Fury rolled his eye, "You were there in Stuttgart a week ago."  "So?  I was passing through," she said flippantly.  "You spoke to him," he accused.  "Yeah, what's your point?  Is a conversation suddenly a crime," she chuckled.  "This isn't a game!  You didn't help those people," Steve snapped.  Her smile disappeared replaced with an instant rage.  She moved so suddenly it nearly made them all jump.

She was nose to nose with Steve Rogers, close enough for him to see the black of her pupil bleed out and fill her eyes, turning them into twin pools of darkness.  He frowned.  "Help them?  There were upwards of three hundred people in that crowd and he was but one man.  They could've easily overpowered him, god or not," she growled in a gravelly voice.  "They were afraid," he said hesitantly.  "Not an excuse," she hissed.  A firm hand grabbed her arm, gently but firmly pulling her back several steps.  "I believe you should hear them out Lady."  She looked from the hand to its owner before shrugging out of his grip.  "Ah, of course," she said crossing her arms over her chest, "If he's here that means you are not far behind, Thor Odinson.  Mighty protector of Midgard."  He frowned down at her, "Have we met before?"  She smirked, "Not at all."  Turning back to Fury her eyes returned to normal, "Now I'll ask again, why am I here Fury?"  He sighed, "He's asked for you."  She arched an eyebrow, "And you're suddenly listening to the wants of your prisoners?"  "We need to know what he's planning, where Barton and the scientist are," Natasha said.  "Ah, of course.  He's taken them has he?  Alright," she shrugged, "but after?  We're done here.  And if you ever try to tranq me again, I'll rip your throat out, both of you."  She held out her hand, "My cigarettes.  You didn't think I'd have a conversation with him without them did you?"  Natasha rolled her eyes before placing the half empty pack on her palm, "This way."
