Aurora opened her eyes at the sound of the howl. She tiredly looked at the doctors and guards around her and grinned a lopsided grin, they were so dead.
Aes heard the others come up behind her but didn't bother waiting for them before she started scaling the wall. "Wait," Steve called between clenched teeth. Loki chuckled. "I bet you're finding all of this amusing," Steve muttered. "As a matter of fact, I am," he grinned before teleporting inside, leaving them to find their own way in. He cloaked himself once inside, finding himself in some kind of laboratory. In the center of the room there was a girl strapped to an operating table, two doctors and two assistants flitting about. There were four guards, two stationed at either exit.
Loki frowned, where was Aes? He glanced up and saw the eerie glow of two golden eyes from the rafters. Suddenly an alarm sounded and for a split second everyone froze. Aes dropped down in front of one of the doctors, ripping his throat out before he could make a sound. She snapped both of the assistants necks before turning on the last doctor. She was so fixated on him she didn't see the two guards taking aim at her from behind. Loki appeared beside her, throwing two daggers that hit their marks perfectly just as she ripped the heart from the chest of the final doctor.
Aes turned and looked at the two now dead guards as she stood. She looked down at him and lifted a hand, emitting a turquoise colored blast pass him, killing the two guards he'd forgotten about. Loki stared up at her with wide eyes, she could use seidr? Who the Hel was she? She turned and ripped the restraints holding the girl that looked as though she was barely a teenager. Lifting the unconscious girl in her arms gently, Aes gripped his arm suddenly and in a blink they were outside. Nearly half a mile from the facility.
"Loki," Thor called out as the rest of the team raced towards them. "Did you..." he stopped speaking when he saw Aes cradling the girl. Her forehead pressed to the childs, soft whining sounds rumbling from her chest. Natasha knelt down in front of her and reached out to check the girls pulse earning her a warning growl. Natasha put her hands up, "Aes, let me check her pulse." Slowly she reached out and took the girls pulse finding it strong and steady. "She's just unconscious Aes, she's strong. She'll be alright," Natasha said reaching up and patting her shoulder. "Alright guys, we gotta get out of here," Stark said.
Banner was waiting at the infirmary doors when the team arrived. Everything seemed fine until Aes stepped from the jet. Banners eyes widened as he stepped out of her way allowing her to follow Loki, Thor, Stark and Steve inside. "Looks like you're not the only beast now, Banner," Barton chuckled as he followed the others inside. He looked at Natasha, "What is that?" She smiled warmly as she passed him, "That is Aes." "Wait, what," he said hurrying after her.
The others stood around silently as she gently laid the girl down on one of the infirmary beds. She sank down on the floor still holding the girls hand. Her head snapped up when Banner walked in, watching as he quickly hooked up the scanner. The minute he approached the bed she snarled, standing to her full height. Realizing how protective she was of the girl he put his hands up to explain. Looking into her eerie golden eyes he said, "This is a scanner, I'm simply making sure she has no broken bones or internal damage." She tilted her head sniffing the air around him before sniffing at the machine. Finally she huffed and sat down on the floor once again.
Aes could hear the whispering, wondering why she didn't turn back. Eventually they decided to leave her be. Allowing her protective guard over her niece.
