After our ears had stopped ringing, we shakily stood back up. The White woman just stood in front of us, smirking placidly and looking slightly bored. I tentatively stepped forward and bowed, looking straight at her bare feet. Explaining that we were in need of a place to stay for the night, I asked if she could take pity and allow us rest.
The White woman slowly reached out her hand and grasped my chin. Her skin was as cold as a corps' and I winced, grimacing slightly. She saw my reaction and her eyes flared with anger for a second before dimming back to their dead stare. She smiled tight-lipped and gestured for us to follow her down a thin winding path.
Whatever we had been expecting, it had not been the large white structure that stood before us on that day. The structure's walls were smooth and rounded going straight up for about 40 feet where it spread out in a sort of dome-like shape; much like a mushroom shape. The building seemed to be glowing and -now that I think about it- is the main source of the island's light. The White woman glanced nervously up at the sky and shooed us all towards the building.
In normal circumstances we would not have rushed straight into walls of mysterious buildings that a stranger herds us towards but at this point half of the crew was exhausted and the other half was still processing Tim's and the twins' deaths. So we just ran straight into it, and fell right through. For a second all I could see was darkness and a large wave motion sickness crashed into me but then I blinked and we were all standing in the middle of a warm lit room with multiple beds and a table laden with fresh salads and a large steaming roast ham. Rebecca set Tina down on one of the beds and went straight to his own bed where he proceeded to pass out. The rest of us ate and then we too found our own beds and slept. We were too tired to notice that the White woman hadn't followed us or that the sun had set.
