Chapter 9: -L U N C H-

   Today was the day I go to lunch with Mr. Afton. I've been nervous the entire day and I've been avoiding William too. He said it was only a date between friends but for some reason that makes me feel disappointed. 

"Hey Y/n, I heard about your little date with Mr. Aftonnn~" Scott cooed.

   I saw Henry look up at us from where he was doing his paperwork. My cheeks turned red.

 "Shut up Henry can hear you!" I whispered while pulling his arm, "And it's not a date. He's just taking me to lunch as a friend, that's all." I said. 

"That's what they all say." Scott smirked at me.

 "Are you that much of a hopeless romantic, you have to ship your Co workers?" I asked. 

"I am not a hopeless romantic! In fact I have a date this weekend!" Scott declared.

 "Oh yeah? With who?"

 "A-A girl.." He stuttered. 

"Sure, I bet you do." I said with doubt in my voice.

   I looked at the clock and saw that it was 11:56. Almost lunch time. My palms started to sweat and I rubbed my hands uncomfortably. 

"Hey, in all seriousness you'll be fine. I know Mr. Afton looks intimidating at first but he really is a nice man." Scott said, "I mean look at all the stuff he's already done for you. He's taken care of you when you were sick that day and helped you when you got in that car crash and now a free lunch!" 

   The crash reminded me of the ghost children and the remnant and William gripping my wrist while giving me that look which I still haven't told Scott about.

 "I guess your right." I said. 

   I saw William walk down the hall from his office and up to us in the stage area. I held Scott's hand and squeezed it.

 "You'll be fine, just act normal." Scott whispered. 

"Hello darling, are you ready?" William asked.

   I nodded as he gently took my hand and helped me up from my seat.

 "See you later Scotty." William said. 

"Bye you two." Scott smiled. 

"Have fun love birrrddddss~" Henry cooed from his office.

   My face lit up bright red and so did William's. 

"HENRY MIND YOUR BLOODY BUSINESS!" William said and we started walking out, "Don't mind him, love he's just... odd." William opened the passenger side door of his car for me and closed it gently when I sat in the seat. 

   Such a gentleman. He got in the driver's seat and went on the road. The ride was silent.. 

"How have you been?" He asked. 

"I've been well..." 

"How are you liking Freddy's so far?" He asked. 

"I like it. It's fun working with Henry and Scott." I replied.

 "What made you apply?" 

"Scott told me you guys were hiring so I took the job." 

   It was silent again for a moment.
