Chapter 2

"Khaenri'ah...what an interesting region"
Scaramouche said as the two of you were walking around Liyue trying spot Zhongli

"You also find it interesting?" You asked the man next to, he looked at you with little confusion at first

"Oh I forgot you were here"

"Wow that hurt" you said with little sarcasm in your voice

"Just kidding; but yes I find it absolutely incredible as for the people; I mean they didn't have a god, no one to tell them what they can and cannot do, can you imagine that?"

Yes you did imagine that, they were individuals with the ability to be independent on themselves and their abilities to construct something.

"I think they're quite incredible" you said with lowering voice because you noticed people staring

Scaramouche noticed but he didn't pay no attention to the people around him; he couldn't care less

Of course his ego let the best of him

After like forever walking around Liyue; finding absolutely nothing you noticed that Scaramouche started to feel a bit out of breath due to the sun most likely because of his outfit

"Feeling out of breath already?" You said mockingly when Scaramouche sat down under a tree

"Don't get ahead of yourself now; I am still number 6 ah.. so fucking hot for no reason"

He swiped sweat of his forehead; wow that looked..
no stop it you are here because of your mission

"Right, right, " you said meanwhile you were trying to spot some river or any kind of source of water

Scaramouche got up without a warning walking toward who knows where

"Hey number 7, if you're looking for some water then it's that way"

You had no idea how he did that but that's number 6 for you

"I was not..I was looking for a Fatui camp" you lied, you didn't want him to have the satisfaction of knowing more than you did

It was already noon; the sun was the strongest right now and you started feeling little weak in your legs, in Mondstant there wasn't such hot days; maybe now and then but Liyue was another whole new level

"We should find..ah.. somewhere to hide under a shadow"
You said out of breath
Scaramouche didn't reply but he changed the direction to a nearby cave
In which they're monsters, you pulled out your gun and waited for Scaramouche's signal
But that never happened
The monsters spotted you two and attacked with pyro element.

"You gotta be kidding me; it couldn't get more hot"

As you were preparing to shoot Scaramouche collapsed next to you

"Scars- ugh- Shit I gotta stop them and find some water"
He was burning up, heatstroke were pretty common in Liyue but for someone from Inazuma it's even harder to not get it

After few shots you sat on the floor all exhausted but you had to find water or both of you would probably collapse here and maybe never wake up

"I thought..ah.. that you were stronger..number 6.." you said with a mocking voice again

He woke up right after you said that

"Shit...I didn't feel like this since my first alcohol contest" He said grabbing his head and taking offf the hat to feel more comfortable

"Brat....ughhh..what happened.?"

"You have a heatstroke; those are pretty common in Liyue, we didn't really prepared any water since we thought Zhongli was spotted easily well..."

When you need the old man the most he's no where to be found
"Alright.." he said standing up with little unstableness in his knees
"Hey whoah, you should rest or you will feel like a shit even more"
"Whatever the source of water is right behind these few trees" he said pulling out an empty lather bottle

"Go and get some water; after that we will get back to Liyue, I am not some kind of follower of some old man" he said mumbling few words after that you couldn't really make anything out of it

"What?"

"I said go, geez number 7.."

Damn what an arrogant prick, you thought leaving him there to find some water

"Gosh, collapsing next to y/n like that really is pathetic.."
