After the day's earlier events, everything seemed to cool down. A couple disturbance calls, and fights but nothing too crazy.
Alexis carried out her day patrolling the Liberty City neighborhoods. She rode into random neighborhoods, and high crime areas, knowing that her vehicle alone can deter crime. Her patrol area needed more patrolling than ever now that the kids were on spring break, which meant more crimes.
The young girls took full advantage of the Miami heat to flaunt off their overly developed bodies. God, Alexis can remember when she was in 7th grade, she barely had boobs, hips. or ass. Now these girls in this generation are packing just as much as she was. Small shirts that hugged their developing breasts, and showed off their belly piercing; and shorts way too short, these girls were out of hand. They needed some guidance, only God knows what these young girls are getting themselves into flocking around known drug dealers, and gang bangers. Now all of them want to be "Trap Queens".
And the young men, that was another sad case. They're too blinded by what directly in front of them to see the big picture. And that is life. To them the only life worth living is entertainment, sports, or the fast life. A few months back, a 16 year old boy was shot in the chest by his own cousin because of drug money. These people are ruthless out here and people seem to brush it off because they're so used to it.
Alexis pulled into a corner store where all the teens hung out. They all congregated in front of the store, the boys on their bikes entertaining the girls and naivety.
"Wassup Officer Montegomery." a boy that goes by Lil Richie, greeted.
"Hey Richard, ain't you supposed to be watchin' ova yo grama'?" She asked. She often spoke with the kids in her section to get to know them better, and to help them out if they needed. They often confided in her because she got to know them on some sort of personal level. Although she grew a relationship with them, that did not interfere with her work ethic.
"Nah, she said I ca' go out, she ain't wanna keep me locked up in da crib." He explained while toying with some girl's finger which caused her to giggle and say 'stop'.
"Oh alright, so how's yo mom?"
"Same ol' shi-"
"You know better than to be cursin, especially when I'm around."
"I apologize, Officer M., but yeah its the same ol' thang she out workin an stuff." He explained, one thing she taught them was to never say 'sorry' they weren't sorry, she told them to apologize instead.
"Alright you be safe now, and watch over yo grama, you and ya mama is all she got."
"Yes ma'am"
Alexis walked into the corner store and made her way to the frigerator aisle to get a bottle of red gaterade. Once she got her drink she walked over to the register, where the Korean woman was arguing with a Sherly's son. Her heart went out to him, at 8 years old he was practically raising himself, his mom was always sick and his father's job as a machanic was barely getting them by.
"I tell you, you no get. No money, no bread sweetheart." The woman explained.
"I told you this is all I have, please take it." The little boy plead extending his palm with about $3 and some change.
"No money, no bread"
"How much is the damn bread?" Alexis asked
"4.28, he gimme 3.50. I no take." The Korean woman spoke.
Greedy ass bitch Alexis thought.
"I'll pay for it, you need anything else lil man?" She asked
His chocolate complexion glowed, with his bright and gracious smile.
"No thank you." He replied
"Alright, how you gettin home?" She asked
"My scooter." He said pointing at his scooter that was at the door of the store.
"Okay be safe."
"I will, and thank you." He said walking off to his scooter, and putting on his helmet.
"No problem, tell Sheryl I said hey."
"Okay."
The little boy left with bread and headed home, Alexis payed for her drink and exited the store.
There was a crowd beginning to circle near a squad car and it wasn't hers.
"'Scuse me, get out the way." She ordered as she made sher way through the crowd.
"Great" she murmered as she saw Lil Richie in handcuffs getting searched by Officer Garcia. She gave her gaterage to some random kid to keep to see what was going on.
The closer she got to the vehicle, the more baggies of marijuana she saw. It was about four bags. She let out a sigh of disappointment towards Richard.
"What happened Garcia?" She asked
"I was going to buy me a pack of cigarettes, until I observed this young man sell another young man a bad of weed. When I approached them the other young man fled, this one tried to flee but I tackled him off his bike and cuffed him. I already notified Narcotics, and Sarge." He explained
This was completely out of her hands, sure he was a good kid but this type of stuff, she can't intervene in. He job comes first.
After Garcia searched him, she transported him to the back of her vehicle to talk to him.
"What the hell was that Richard!?" She yelled. He said nothing.
"Answer me boy, what the HELL was that?!"
His head was down and he said nothing.
"Listen here boy you better look me in my got damn eyes when I'm talking to you.'
He ignored her and stayed in the same posistion, head down.
She let out a fustrated breathe and slammed the door shut.
She got into her car and drove off to the juvenile detention center downtown.
"You really disappointed me Richard, now imagine how your mom is going to feel having to bail you out,she's at work bussin her ass to provide for you and yo gramma and this is how you repay her. If she needed financial help she would've applied for government funding. Very fucking selfish of you, now who's gonna take care of yo grama, you should've learned from TJ when they fucking blew his chest out his body now you in this bullshit too. You're only 15 years old, and you just ruined your fucking life." Alexis snapped.
