He quietly stepped out of his tense office, another pack in his hand. He had recently got it, but didn't ever have the time to use it. Chatter echoed through the halls, he just hid it in his pocket for now.
Another fight with them again, it was very often now and is the reason he was leaving the horrid place for a couple of hours. Soldiers saluted as he passed them, he wasn't used to much formality but they wanted to start anew.
Even though nothing is ever new.
Once outside he pulls out a lighter and lit a flame, he secretly wishes he could be as bright as it was. 'But that wasn't him'.
Pulling out something from the pack, he quickly lit it and placed it between his lips, inhaling and exhaling. As thick smoke forced its way from his mouth, he knew he couldn't be out here for long; sadly someone would be bound to notice his absence.
He was second in command after all. Newfound addictions have to wait in war.

Where am I?

I had just woken up in the middle of a dark alleyway, no clue how I got here or even what happened. Taking a few seconds to think about this situation I soon realize I'm no longer wearing my royal blue army jacket or even my hoodie, but no I wasn't shirtless. I had different clothing on my chest, stuff I have never seen before, and was pretty sure wasn't in my original wardrobe.

I was wearing what I could only assume was a dusk-colored trench coat, under it was a ruby turtleneck sweater. Luckily it seemed that my bottom half had not been tampered with as I was still wearing dark grey jeans and jet black army boots, seems whoever did this to me decided it would be best not to venture as well as mess with anything down there.

Still, I was confused to a heavy amount.

"Where the hell-"

I cut myself off as I glanced down at my robotic arm, I was a bit caught off guard by how it looked like half of it was cut off and replaced with a shittier version of the original metal. It wasn't even red like the rest of the original arm, though when I swayed my fingers, it still seemed to work as if it was just like it had been. Weird.

I put the said robotic hand over my face and sighed. I knew very well something was very wrong, I mean I'm supposed to be leading my army! Yet I seem to be nowhere near my base. I finally decided to stand up, using the wall I was laying against as leverage. Soon on my feet I glance around and notice I am very alone in this place.

Whatever put me here probably didn't want to stay and face the consequences, but something about this situation made me uneasy. How long was I out? And why? I let out a sigh and set my hands in the pockets of the coat, I paused again when I felt something inside my right one. My hand folds around the object as I bring it out into view, to my surprise it was a pistol that appeared to be loaded. Observing it more closely I noticed it was full and there was even extra ammo in the same pocket I pulled it from.

Well, that was kind of them to leave me with something to defend myself with, not saying I'm totally defenseless without a weapon I'm just way better at fighting with a gun than fists. But anyway, I slide the pistol back into my pocket and start heading in a direction I hope would lead me out of the alley. Not setting my hands back into the pockets, just crossing them.

It's also important to mention that it was nighttime, which meant it was really dark and almost impossible to actually see which side was the right way and which was horribly wrong. Luckily I'm smart enough with directions I'll find a way out in no time at all.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was very wrong, I have no fucking clue where I'm going. I think I've been going in a circle for an hour and still have nothing to show for it, there aren't even any clues on where the hell I am. All I hear is my footsteps echoing across the endless walls of this horrible place.
