Life happened and there we are.

Meredith was in her first year of med school, she worked hard to get accepted here with her mom's pressure on her to be a surgeon. She didn't have time to start or be in a relationship. She just worked the most she could because she didn't want to disappoint her mom.
In the middle of the year, she was walking fast because she was late for a class and ended up crashing into someone and falling to the ground. She looks up at the person she bumped into and sees that it was this gorgeous red hair girl that she has seen a few times this the beginning of the year?

"I'm so sorry I didn't watch where I was going." Says the red hair with her phone in her hands.

"I'm sorry too I'm late, I was walking fast and I didn't watch either."

"I'm Addison by the way, let me help you with your books."

"Thank you, I'm Meredith."

"Oh, you are in your first year of med school. I remember that year was the worst, it's getting better after."

"Yes it is a lot of work, but I should get through it, in which year are you?"

"I'm in my last year. I will be in a hospital next year, I'm excited about it!"

"That sounds great! okay, I have to go because I'm already late but I will see you around?"

"Yes, you will! Good luck Meredith."

She ran to her class and she was there just in time. She was thinking about Addison all her class but was trying to pay attention to her class because she needed to pass it.
After her class, the last one of the day, since she was staying on the campus she went to the library and started riding her class to do her homework and studying.

The red hair sees her coming in and she goes next to her.

"Do you need a little help? I can help you study if you want?"

"Oh Addison, if you have time and you want to waste it with me, then yes."

" I won't waste my time if that makes you become a good surgeon."

"Good point."

So Addison starts to help Meredith with her homework and study because she knows how it's helpful to do it with friends like she did with Mark in the past but now he is too busy with Derek.

They make their study time a usual thing every day or every two days to do their studying together by helping each other. Plus the time was going and the most they were getting close. 4 months before the end of the year they choose to go on date and they start dating each other. They spend the last 4 months together, every time they cloud and by the end of the years Addison learns that she was affected at New York for her internship the same as Mark and Derek.

By that time Meredith did pass her year and they knew that they will be separate the next year they choose to end up their relation when Addison moves to New York before she starts and they promise to stay in touch and that if they were meant to be they will find their way to each other.

During the next few years Meredith never really open up to anyone else in the school, after taking a break after her second year for 3 years, living her best life in Europe with Saddie she chooses to come back and start her med school again. After that, all she did was work and sleep around so she could stop thinking about Addison that she will probably never see again. They broke their promises to stay in touch. She didn't hear from Addison for almost 3 years now, and it's been 4 years since she left.

On her side, Addison was enjoying her first few months of residency. She was dating Derek now and he proposed to her 6 months ago she said yes because they were really good together and they look like a beautiful couple and they are really in love. They were getting married in June for a summer wedding. She stop talking with Meredith when she started dating Derek because she didn't feel comfortable with that.
