Chapter 14

Y/N's POV

"I understand if you're busy though." Deku commented.

"I'm really sorry but I'd prefer to find dad and grab something from the vending... Shit." You yelled the last part then went to find Kaminari, before turning around. "I'll see you in class tomorrow?"

"Yeah of course N/N!" He shouted back. You turned again and found Kaminari, while catching your breathe you began to speak.

"I'm going... with my dad... I can get... you something on the way though... and bring it as a surprise tomorrow." You were so out of breathe you weren't even sure if he understood you. After a few second of a blank stare his eyebrows furrowed.

"You're standing me up again?!" He sounded really mad his voice booming, then his tone changed back to normal. "I'm kidding, a surprise sounds nice but seriously if you don't get me something I'll stop forgiving you for stuff like this." You giggled then responded.

"Ok I'll be back tomorrow with something for you. Bye!" You yelled as you began running again, running inside UA, sliding down the halls that were more familiar than your home, then sliding to a vending machine.

You looked through the options then found some flavored chips he would probably like. You noticed something you liked as well so you grabbed both. You began strolling down to the Staff Office, you knocked twice before entering.

"Heeyyyyy, where's dad?"

"Y/N! Hi sweetie!" Midnight walked up and hugged you. "How was your first day, your dad didn't do anything outrageous, right? I don't have to kick his ass?"

"No there will be no ass kicking today." The man in question responded.

"I mean that 'logical ruse'was a little outrageous." You muttered grinning at him. "Anyways, when are we going home I miss my cats!"

"After I finish some paperwork. Here," He handed you some crayons, "go color on Allmight's desk or something."

"I am entering! Like a normal person." Allmight announced as he walked in. "Did I hear something about my desk?"

"Nope nothing at all." You and your father did in unison. You looked at eachother, a small smile cracked on his face and you giggled. It then hit you that you haven't brought up the whole... quirk thing with Allmight. You immediately stopped smiling at the realization and began to walk away, making a b-line for the door. You were stopped by Allmight.

"Hey, Young Aizawa I actually needed to talk to you, are you busy right now?" Just what you needed a one-on-one with the Number 1 hero. You shook your head.

"I'm not busy, let's chat." You followed him to Nezus office, Nezu was brewing tea while you and allmight sat across grok eachother at a table in the corner of the office.

"I believe you already know what this chat is abo-"

"I'm really sorry I rejected your quirk. I really thought Dleu would make a better fit, I ran because I was afraid you'd be disappointed, and I'm still learning new things about me to this day and thought it'd be a lot to handle." You almost immediately spilled, it was relieving but embarrassing to tell him this much. Nezu turned and gave you a confused look before eating back to what he was doing.

"Hey I'm not mad kid. I'm more proud than anything. You were able to recognize your boundaries, both physical and mental, and keep them set. It take a lot of courage to do that. I wanted to tell you that you were right about Young Midoriya, he really shines, he just needed some help." Allmight stopped and look at you in concern. You looked back at him just as confused then felt the tears. You hadn't noticed them. All you wanted was to leave.

"Thank you Sir. I will continue to try and improve." You stood up, bowed, then left. You wiped any form of sadness on your face and then walked back into the staff office.

The Next Day

You woke up and got your daily routine done. You went to UA with no problem, then walked into the classroom. You handed Kaminari his chips with a small smile..

"Hey you got my favorite flavor!"

"Something about those chips screamed Kaminari so I had to get them." You laughed gently before returning to your seat. You hadn't peeked at the lesson plan, so you had no clue what was going on today. After class had started Allmight burst into the room. He explained he was going to give us training and let us use our new hero costumes. You forgot to submit your design so you'd most likely have to get it redone.

As you walked to the changing room with the girls you began talking about what the exercise could and would be. After trying on the costume you looked in the mirror and felt a form of confidence you'd never experienced. The costumes base was a black turtleneck leotard with f/c long sleeves. You had palmless gloves that helped ease the wrist pain that came with your quirk. The leotard connected to your middle finger over the tops of your hands. You had a belt around your waist with a bunch of first aid materials. You had f/c boots that went up to your knees, they assisted in cushioning falls and were very mobile. Overall your costume seemed very useful. The last touch you put on was f/c tinted glasses to put the look together. Everyone marched from the changing rooms looking confident.

Allmight then began to explain the training...
