Tristan stormed away with out another word and Lora stood there for a minute thinking. She was going to ask Tristan's to go with her. But now that's not going to work so now she is alone.
"That's just great." Lora said to herself.
The rest of the day went by in a flash. Tristan didn't talk to her 5th period or 6th when they had the test. So Lora did what she did and ignored her. Thank God she had other friends to talk to but Tristan was the closest.
"Mom I'm home!" Lora yelled. Once she got in the house. Tristan gave her a ride home but still did not talk to her.
"Alright honey I'm in the kitchen." Lora put her bags on the couch and went to talk to her mom.
"Hey honey, how was your day?" Her mom said turning around to give her daughter a hug.
"It was OK, Tristan kinda stop talking to me today" Lora said with a frown on her face. Thinking, hoping she's not losing her best friend over this that's why she has to put a stop to all of this secrecy.
"Aww what happen? And please don't tell me it's over a boy cause you know that's how I lost my best friend in high school."
"Oh mom please it is not over a boy. We have are differences when it comes to that."
"Well girl you'd be surprise." Her mom said patting her shoulder and started to draw dishes out of the refrigerator, and set them on the counter.
"Um mom I have to leave out tonight." Her mom stop what she was doing and looked at her.
"You know, I have limits Lora. And so far you've been going pass my limits, going out to much at night. I trust you when you say it's important. So I let you do it, but you should know when to put a stop to it."
"I know mom, this should be the last night I go out like this. Unless it's a date or something with friends."
"Lora I thought this had something to do with your friends" she put her hand on her hip, and it was evident that she was getting really upset.
"Mom it does but then it don't. I promise I will explain every thing when I get back."
"Lora I don't know what to say," she let out a breath. "You don't need to leave tonight.-shoot I already fell bad for letting my 16 year girl go out the other nights."
"Mom please I promise this will be the last time I do this."
"Alright girl, hurry back home and you will be telling me every thing, as soon as you walk through that door."
"OK, thanks mom." Lora does a little fake jog to her mom and give her a hug. "I love you so much,I promise I tell you every thing."
Lora ran out the kitchen leaving her mom in there to finish cleaning so she can cook dinner. Little did she know that she probably would not be eating dinner that night.
