Maybe I'm Not What You Think I Am

chapter 5

LORA POINT OF VIEW 

It seemed like hours had pass but it was still dark outside. I shivered, every time I replayed that night in my  head my heart would  start to race and I would remember I am not home, waiting for my mom to check on me. But instead I sat in a dark strangers home with a doctor who don't look like a doctor and still not clear of my  location.

I caught on to a glow in the cracks of the wall, which I guess was the door. I tried to see if I could spot something else in the room there was nothing. So I tried to sit up again and it wasn't as painful at first. But i felt weird inside.  So I threw my  legs across the bed and winced, Ive never been so sore in my life. Then I tried to feel around with my  feet and I only felt soft grass like carpet. I looked at the light that was coming from outside the door and  tried to stand. which was total bummer. I fell right back on my butt with a whimper and then I looked around again my eyes still could see nothing. I  wonder how that guy got around at night. I tried again and found my  balance and turned toward the light that came through the door and took one step and fell with a loud cry and I regretted even trying....

 I could hear  foot steps, so I started to panic and tried to scramble off the floor which also did not work. I had no strength so I quickly decided to act like I was sleep.
The door came open and I froze not wanting to give any sign I was awake.  Just hoping who ever it was would leave me on the floor to sleep.
"I thought I told u not to move" The Doctors voice boomed in the  quietness.  He must have notice me not moving, because I could tell he stepped in the room and closed the door.
"Your not sleep Lora I herd everything u were doing." He walked and stood over me. dang it!
I  lifted my  head slowly looking at the shadow of what I seen before.
"That's impossible." I snorted. He could not have heard me.  "You didn't hear anything. Now can you help me up, this hurts really bad"
"Well  how did I know to come check on u to find you on the floor?" He stated. I laughed inside at this, because I did fall pretty hard.

" you were probably doing your regular check up thing, you know with you being my doctor."
He reached out for my hand, I could barely see it. I  grabbed for it and he pulled me up.

"And your doctor? Since when?" he move to help me back in bed 

"Since I woke up in your home" I said like he was crazy or am I ? I laughed. 
"And I see  your getting .... comfortable. Your not scared?"

That's a good question so  I thought about it for a second. I didn't really feel scared I guess I really don't know. I just want to go home. Okay I have to admit I am a little scared. If anything that's why I'm being all talkative and giggles 

"I guess not? you are pretty nice." I admitted.  " I'm scared, but not scared of you."
"Well that's good I guess we will become close buddy's! " he said sarcastically.
" whatever"  Like what in the world!? I am talking to this man like I haven't been missing from my home for a month.... Like I totally forgot what happen to me that night and I still don't know the full story. I frowned. 
"When am I getting out of here?" I said crossing my arms. " You have barely told me anything since I have been awake. I need answers and like now!"

  This man who is not my doctor seemed to have taken  really good care of me. So I decided to lower my tone and ask "What really happened to me that night?"

" well I'm sure u know-" He reached next to me,  then there was a clicking sound that then field half of the room with light. And I could not believe my eyes. There was a small lamp siting next to me  the whole time siting on a beautiful wooden carved table. Then my eyes caught the sight of  the window. Shoot I had no idea there were windows in here it was so dark. and the medium size blinds explained the reason why, right alone with the dark blue curtains that hung to the floor. I looked down and noticed the bed I was siting on. It  was the same color as the curtains. Dark blue with a hint of white. Oh my! like STARS. There were rails that made a beautiful design over my head and a little chair across the room where the guy was sitting when I woke up. Everything was so not real. I've  never seen anything like it. I  looked at the guy and almost  had a heart attack, I never in my life seen someone as breath taking and just so attractive as he. I thought I  saw something flash in his eyes before they changed to a really  beautiful dark blue.
" your eyes? That's impossible " I pointed out.
" Its possible, it runs on my mom side of the family."
"But that's so not natural," I said with my mouth open " I really am going nuts." 
" I guess you are." he said with a smirk on his face. "Now lets get back to what happened to you that night. I Know you want to know but I only can tell you so much right now."
