"When I walk in er'rybody asking who this?
Well, if you ain't know must be dumb or blind or stupid"

Bella's P.O.V.

I walk up the steps and pull the door to the district open to step inside.

"Sergeant." I state as I walk pass the front desk.

"Detective, I heard you had an interesting first day." She states.

"Something like that." I reply aloud. I place my hand on the scanner and walk through to get upstairs. I place Jay's neatly folded jacket on top of his desk. I walk into the locker room and put away my stuff. I holster my gun and taser and go take a seat at my desk. "Hello, sergeant Voight." I say when I hear his foot steps.

"How'd you know it was me?" He questions in wonder.

"I recognized your footsteps sir" I start. "Plus you're the only other person here before everyone else." I reply flatly.
"Did you need anything else sergeant?" I add not turning around. He doesn't say anything but walks back into his office. I continue to sit at my desk in silence as I wait for the others to show up. A short while later voices start to fill the silence of the bullpen.

"Good morning Bella." Adam greets cheerfully. Looking up at him I slightly narrow my eyes before nodding in his direction. I notice Jay pick up his jacket so I focus my eyes elsewhere. From my peripheral vision I see Jay walk up to me.

"Hey, thanks for cleaning my jacket I appreciate it." He spoke softly.

"You're welcome. " I respond adjusting my eyes to look elsewhere.

"Did I do something wrong?" He asks seconds later.

"I'm not getting into this with you right now Jay." I state sternly.

"It's been over seven years since we've seen each other and that's all you have to say? Really?" He questions incredulously. I pinch the bridge of my nose and let out a sigh.

"I am not the same person I use to be so you better watch your tone when speaking to me. Stay out of my way and I'll stay out of yours." I whisper yell. He just stares at me in disbelief and hurt. I retake my seat averting my eyes elsewhere.

"Team let's roll we have a bank robbery on fifty-seventh." Sergeant announces coming out of his office.

"Daniels-" I cut him off.

"Stay here, I know."  I say with a roll of my eyes. The rest of the team files out as I continue to stay seated. I cannot believe I had to transfer from SWAT to-to this.

"Learning already." He replies with a sarcastic jab.  I simply roll my eyes giving him the finger behind his back.

Once the work day is over I make my way home. I wait until it's pitch black outside. I grab my non department issued gun and slide it into my inner thigh holster. I slide my knife into the other one and pull my skirt down. After I grab my burger  I quietly exit my house and begin my trek to my other car. Once I walk up to the shop the light still on. I give Rodney a nod as I walk over to my car Herbie. I get in and start it up. I pull out of the shop and head to new meet up spot.

As I get close I start to feel the vibrations of the music thrumming throughout my body. Once I arrive at the meet up spot I park then get out.

"Hold up lil mama who you here with?" The random  I was not checking for asks. I put my hair behind my ear and walk pass ignoring him.  "Hold up bitch I was talking to you." He tells angrily. I smile sweetly before grabbing a fist full of hair. He goes to punch me in the abdomen but I dodge it then knee him in the face.

"I'm not the one nor the two find someone safe to play to with before you end up on a t-shirt." I smile sarcastically before standing back up.

"Who's next? Who thinks they can beat me!?!?" The crowd goes a wild. With a roll of my eyes I walk on over. "You think you can beat me? I tell you what. Why don't you be my new play thing instead?" He says touching my hair. I give a fake smile before grabbing his finger applying pressure before letting it go.

I walk to my car and get in. I rev my engine as I wait at the finish line.

"Are your mark, get ready, set, go!" I step on the gas as soon as their arms drop down. Tonight's race is longer than usual but I'm not worried. But I do have to watch out for other cops. I feel the wind in my hair as I drive it brings a smile to my face. I make a sharp turn as I race through the streets. The other car bumps the side of me trying to get me to crash. I bump them back. Then I pull the lever and I get blasted forward. I pass the finish line I press slightly on the breaks before applying more pressure so that I can safely stop. Before anything else I put the car in park and go to collect my money.

"No, no way am I giving some bitch my money." He angrily spat. I raise an eyebrow and throw a punch to his throat. He immediately drops the money gasping for breath. I crouch down to his height flicking my hair back over my shoulder.

"Your first mistake was underestimating me. You're second was playing with my money. But your last mistake? Oh baby that was calling me out my name."  And with that I grab my money and head back to drop my car off.

After dropping my car off I  walk back home. I open my door making sure to lock everything. I hang my jacket and put the rest of my stuff away. I comb my hair and brush it into a ponytail before putting my bonnet on. Then I check my security camera footage to make sure nothing's out of the ordinary. I get into bed with just my bra and panties on. I clap my hands twice to turn the light off.
