"This is going to be so funny!" Flint, the tiny self-appointed leader of a bunch of misfits, cackled. His red hair bounced as he jumped into his costume.
"I can't wait to scare those brats!" Garth, the follower of the group, joined in. "Did you see how scared Keller
was? I can't wait to get payback on him!"
"Guys, isn't this a bit extreme? They are younger than us." Tally, the voice of reason, questioned.
"What?" Flint yelped, turning his attention to her.
"Tally, who are you right now? People are about to start ringing
doorbells and yelling Trick or Treat. We don't have time for logic! "
The girl with the big brown eyes and dark hair stared
with much remorse.
"Did you just happen to forget what they did?"
"No, I didn't."

Tally looked away from him into the distance. The tombstones and memorials all seemed to be more
calming to her at the moment than Flint's attitude.
"Hey, you can leave if you want. But Garth and I are doing it."
"She's a girl. Maybe she should go home." Garth chimed in.

Frustrated, Tally sprung up from the headstone she was perched on and approached her tall, lanky friend.
"You know what, I'm in! I will show you that a girl can outdo you, once again!"
"Uh-oh, Garth, sounds like a challenge."
"Shut up and give me the costume," Tally demanded as she took it from little Flint's hand.
Tally popped open the rolled-up costume and stared at it in awe.
"She likes it," Flint said to Garth. The two high-fived one another as they watched her intrigue.
"Flint, where did you find this?" She asked.
"I need you to not worry about that part and put it on. It's almost time!"

The boys stepped away from Tally, allowing her to get undressed.
"I love the way this fits," Tally yelled.
"I figured your long legs would fit that nicely."
Garth and Flint joined her once more.
"I think we picked the wrong environment to put her in that, Flint." Garth laughed.

Uncomfortable and self-conscious, Tally started to look around, wondering
what he was referring to.
"What... what's wrong with it?" She cried out.
"It's just... sexy." Garth continued. "I thought we were trying to scare the kids. They're not going to give us
anything but phone numbers if she wears that."
"She has to put on the mask, idiot," Flint yelled.
"It is a bit tight though, Flint," Tally said as she examined herself thoroughly.
"Look," Flint grumbled as he stood to his feet in his
Gengar costume.
"Darkrai is the scariest of them all,
y'know? Getting all in your dreams while you're y'know? Getting all in your dreams while you're sleeping and all that."
"Yeah, but we definitely told the kids that they would be haunted by ghost-type Pokémon. Darkrai is a dark
type." Tally said, putting her hands on her hip and giving a little attitude.
"What are you, a walking Pokedex?"
"She's right, Flint!" Garth yelled as he jumped to his feet. "And why do I have to be the Trevanant? Gengar
is way cooler!" Tally and Flint looked at one another,
then back up at Garth, who towered over them.
"You're kidding, right?" Flint asked.
Suddenly, the group could hear children laughing in
the distance.
"Alright, peeps, it's time!" Flint roared as he dropped
the Gengar mask over his curly red hair.
"How do I look?" He asked.
"So, realistic, if you were far away and in the dark."
Tally joked.
"Oh, wisecracker, huh?"
Tally and Garth inserted their heads into their masks as Flint headed to the bush that lined the cemetery's
perimeter. He reached into the branches with his short arms and moved them aside to see through. The others did the same.
"I hope you guys are ready," Flint whispered.
"As ready as I can be without hating myself," Tally said.
"Okay, here comes Keller and his lame crew."
"And here is where it all starts."
"Tally, get in character!" He yelled at her.
