Chapter Eight: Pain killers.

[Skylar's POV]:

My headache was pounding, my thoughts and memories all muddled up together. I couldn't tell the difference between reality and what was unreal. But everything happened. Lauren was gone, that was all I knew was a fact. I didn't want to even get off the floor, I wanted to lay here and die. After all the bullshit I went through to get her back, just in a second some ass took her from me. The pain in my stomach flooded back, causing everything around me to get dizzy and blurry. I really needed something to make all of this pain go away. I pulled myself from the ground and up the stairs into the bathroom. I pulled every pill bottle out of the cabinet and read them to myself.

After awhile searching I found three bottles of the highest reliever none prescribed pain killers. I read the back of them seeing the side effects, of delusions and death. No wonder her mother wasn't fit to raise Lauren if she had to take these pills. The pounding headache of mine forced me to open up a bottle and take four pills out. I dry swallowed them, causing my stomach to gurgle and my heart to have a stabbing pain. I fell to the ground after taking them, forcing my self not to be sick. I crawled out the bathroom and back into the upstairs corridor, I stopped outside Lauren's room and looked in. It was the same... I felt my eyes well up with tears again before the medication kicked in causing me to blackout.

[Kaite's POV]:

The sound of Spencer's phone was ringing from a far. I opened my eyes a little bit to see that I had been moved onto his bed. I turned over to see that he wasn't asleep, nor was he even in sight. I got out of bed and walked barefooted out into the lounge and kitchen area. He walked out the bathroom only his bottom half dressed. I watched him grab his phone from the kitchen counter answering it before giving me a wink acknowledging that I was there. I continued over to him before perching myself onto the counter. I watched Spencer's face expression as he talked on the phone. He went tense, before speaking.

"What do you mean his dead." Spencer said swiftly almost shocked.

"All right... Yeah I'll see if I can make it..." He added just before hanging up.

I grabbed hold of his hands as he dropped his phone onto the counter.

"Spencer?" I asked softly.

"Kyle died." He muttered sounding a little upset.

"I'm sorry..." I said, lying a little for his sake.

Personally a cold hearted me had emerged that didn't really care. I kissed him once on the mouth trying to make him not worry about any of this. But the thought of Kyle dying brought me to realization of Blake, if Kyle died how much trouble would he be in now. I'm sure it wasn't his fault, but then again. I already knew there had been two sides of Blake.

"Are you alright..." I said trying to break the silence between us.

"Not really, Kyle sort of looked after me once I first moved here." Spencer admitted leaning his forehead against mine.

"You use to hang around with him?" I asked a little worried.

"Yeah, I know that he was a total ass. But his the reason I met your brother, then got a job. But most importantly, I got to meet you." Spencer said, running his index finger along my cheek.

I smiled, before holding my arms around his neck.

"You know how you promised to look after me. Well I want you to know that I'm here for you to." I said biting my lip nervously.
