First off this chapter is quite long and a bit intensive. But I hope you enjoy it anyway. n_n

Chapter Six: That house was never a home.

[Lauren's POV]:

I frowned deeply at myself, I hated not being able to speak. Having to just sit here in the garden of the hospital as the few rays of sun hit my skin. The warmth of the sun was comfortable. The look on all of these sick peoples faces was gross, how infected they all where with diseases. Everyone around me where much older then I was, all of them sick.

"Hey Lauren," The very much desired voice of Skylar announced.

I looked to the right of me where he had held a single red rose in front of me. I took it from his fingers and placed it against my nose smelling the fresh crisp smell of floral. Suddenly Skylar's lips where just above mine and he pressed the softly against mine. I bit down forcing his mouth open, enjoying his so familiar taste. He stopped all of a sudden and smiled at me taking a seat next to me. It been a few days since I woke up, even though sometimes it felt like I was still dreaming.

"I know you've been extremely bored... So I've asked the doctor's if you're allowed to leave, and guess what they said..." He said as his smile got wider.

I tilted my head, and glanced into his warm dark brown eyes.

"You're allowed to come home," He whispered pressing our lips back together grabbing hold of my hand that wasn't holding the rose he gave me a second ago.

I could feel myself smiling, finally I could leave this boring place. Even though going back to that house was a little bit daunting, my mother attacked me. How could she do that. We where never the greatest of friends ever since the whole problem with my uncle. She could never look me in the eyes after that, she thought I lied about that. Everyone did. I was the victim but everyone said that I lied. My uncle got away with being a sick creep, and here I was taking the blame. But even with everything that happened in that house, if Skylar was there with me I knew I would be safe. After everything I did to him, Skylar still was the one to come rescue me. He was my protector, I was never ever going to let him go.

"You okay?" Skylar mumbled after the few minutes silence.

I nodded and smiled slightly at him.

"I'm sorry." I lipped carefully.

Skylar grabbed me into his arms.

"Don't be..." He whispered, holding me against his arms.

[Katie's POV]:

I stared at my reflection, a little disappointed. I wished that I was prettier. My eyes were so dull, just a deep brown, nothing to get overly attached to. I pulled the hair tie out of my hair, letting my longish red hair cover my bare shoulders. I'd picked just something without thinking very much, a light pink dress that stopped a bit before my knees and plain white shoes. I hadn't really put the dark whether into consideration when I'd gotten dressed. I knew that it would bite me in the long run. There was no time now to change what I was wearing, Spencer was most likely already waiting at 'Zodiacs' for me, I didn't want him to think that I stood him up. He seemed to be an alright guy, even though Skylar was seemed to disprove of him just as much as my brother did. I didn't understand why Skylar was so uptight lately. It might just be all the stress with Lauren, he didn't even know Spencer. It was annoying how he could judge a person, just how I had described them. I shook my head and smiled at my reflection, I wasn't going to think like that. It was my time to be happy, I wasn't going to let my stupid thoughts wreak all of that.
