꒷꒦ ✦ ୧・**︶︶︶︶︶꒷꒦** ‧₊ ୧Days went slow in the Cang Qiong Mountain Sect, the surprised visit taking some time to leave. Seeing his dear friend like this was a tragedy, though it was relieving to see the wounds healing over Lan Wangji's body. He took a sip of the tea, the cold liquid pouring down his throat as he slammed it down onto the wooden table. Xie Lian looked troubled at the other, taking in the following days. It was like multiple different equations stumbled into Shen Qingqiu's head, searching for an answer from the sudden attack. It was easy for Xie Lian to study the other's face, seeing the cold atmosphere burning off of it. The fan that Shen Qingqiu carried laid down on the table, sitting there lifeless as cold gusts of wind complimented the two. The night time's owls echoed into the sky. The moon reflecting into the cut off room.
"I am sure that there must be an understanding to the conflict.." Xie Lian said as he stared at his distressed friend. "Some of the Lan clan made it here alive, that is the best thing that could've happened in this situation." His voice was quiet, calming, but also nervous talking about the situation. As the week went by, they had not talked about the matter a lot, small talk though before the subject would be changed. The excuse being for Lan Wangji, the male that was at rest at the moment, sake.
" Even if we had an understanding of what happened, what if it would happen to us, Xie Lian?" The eyes that were once at the table was now staring into the soul of the crowned prince. A small sigh was let out of the positive male's mouth. There was no reasoning for him to have the hopeful tone when their friend was nearly to the point of death. That stubborn man couldn't be put to rest before the exhaust overwhelmed his body. Shen Qingqiu was so desperate to find out answers of the matter. Why someone would randomly attack, especially on a quiet clan.
"I.. we don't know if we would get attack, Shen Qingqiu. If we did, I am sure that we could handle it. Your disciples and the strength that you have should surely handle the attackers.. right?"
"Exactly! We don't know. I am sure my disciples can handle whatever shit that was but they killed a sect master! A master. We are lucky that Lan Wangji and the others made it out that mess alive. We wouldn't even know if these people would come for us." He said, his voice raising at the end. Xie Lian looked towards his lap, that positivity soon fading away. Shen Qingqiu looked dearly to his friend. "I'm sorry, just it's stressful."
"No no.. it's fine. My fault for pushing it." He sighed, flapping his hand up and down to single that it was okay. A smile coming onto his face to strengthen his point. "Besides, Lan Wangji is getting better, so is the rest of the crew. The doctor said that his wounds are nearly fully healed." Shen Qingqiu smiled at his friend, seeing the smile lighting up his face again would make him feel comforted.
"by the time he wakes up, he will have enough strength to start walking fully again."
"Very true!! So exciting to see that he is better."

it felt like Lan Wangji was running in miles, trying to find the true ones that he loved. His family, his company, and the home he once lived in. His heart beating at 100mph, trying to reach to that light. The light where they stood, where they were welcoming the male to come join him. Though, that would had to be put into an end, looking down to his feet, multiple hands were coming out of the ground, grabbing onto his pale and damaged skin. He couldn't fight it. His body stuck in the hope that he would get to that bright source. Slowly, the hands tugged down the male into the ground. He tried to reach his hand out to the shadows that were waiting, his sacred body cowering into the clutches of these demonic creatures. Splash. Looking around, all there was were water surrounding him. Stuck in the display of cold liquid touching his skin. Drowning. Slowly leaving the world. He was drowning.
Awake, the eyes stuck open in the night time. Hearing talking happening across the room he was laying in. A dream? He thought to himself as he looked at the roof, seeing the cracks and dirt on it. He got his body up, looking at his two friends that were now rushed to his side.
"You're awake!" Xie Lian said as he smiled towards his friend. Grabbing the hands of the cultivator to feel the core. "You seem to be at full strength." He put the hands down of his friend. Looking at Shen QingQiu who was standing next to them with his arms crossed. Clearly wanting more answers than what was given to him days ago.
"how was your rest?" He asked before the other turned his head towards the asker. Finding a suitable word for the nightmare that he had. It would worry his two dear friends if he did tell them what happened. Stupid honestly.
"Good." The low voice talked, it having some creaks in his voice though having enough strength to say the word entirely. He was lucky to have the doctors taking care of the hurt male. The awkward atmosphere killed the room as they all stared at each other. Shen Qingqiu sighed before sitting at the other side of the bed, next to Xie Lian.
"We don't expect you to talk about it.. but we do expect that we do have some information from the attack. We are sorry for your lost.."
"Demonic," The two got drawn to the attention of what Lan Wangji said. Looking at one and the other to see if they heard the word correctly. "Demonic spirits."
It seemed like those minutes went on for eternity as Shen QingQiu stared at the ground.
"I need to go back, to see them." Lan Wangji said, trying to get out of bed but pushed down by a hand.
"You can't, what if they are still there. Your wounds are still not fully healed, you are just to the point of being able to walk around again." Shen Qingqiu argued with the other. "You would be crazy to go there on your own. Listen to us, you are still hurt. You would not survive."
"Then.. we will come with.." The soft voice spoke back to Shen Qingqiu's argument. Looking directly at the two before a smile came on his face. "We will all go for the adventure. That way Lan Wangji can see his home and we can monitored him." Before Shen Qingqiu could fight back, Lan Wangji nodded his head. Agreeing with the idea that they all go together. "Then it is decided!" He exclaimed, his voice beaming with hope and joy. "Majority vote wins."꒷꒦ ✦ ୧・**︶︶︶︶︶꒷꒦** ‧₊ ୧
