Chapter 14 "Friendship"

PEYTON'S POV:
Enid and I have been talking for a while and we have become good friends. I doesn't even bother me anymore that shes with carl. Lucas has been really sweet lately and him and carl have been snooping around being friends. I don't know why they do that! Do they think we will get mad? Thats so dumb, because if I'm friends with Enid then who cares if Lucas and Carl are friends. I walked over to carl and Lucas. "Hey guys!" They looked at me looking all confused. "Hello?! Im not standing here for my health!" "Oh uh Peyton we were just talking about.. To-ue-fl- le- um I don't remember..."
Carl said acting like a dummy "Ok... I didn't ask what you were talking about? What the hell has gotten into you!?" "Nothing" the boys both said in unison. "Whatever see you later."
I walked off really irritated.

CARLS POV:
That was close! "Geez carl you couldn't have been more obvious?" "Lucas do you want me to help you or not?" "Yes but we can't make it obvious that were throwing a party. We can't show decorations, food and we cant tell ANYONE. I mean ANYONE. Especially Enid!" "I cant believe Peytons turning seventeen!" "I know right! Shes older than all of us!"

PEYTON'S POV:
The boys were acting really weird back there. "Hey!" "Enid you cant just come up on me when im thinking!" We busted out laughing. We didn't know why or what was funny but it is. "Follow me."
I followed Enid out into the woods. "Hey why are we going out here?" She didn't answer. She just stood there and stared in the other direction. "Enid!" "Remember that time were you kissed carl? Or how bout when you said "I love you?" "What?" "That time were you supposedly "saved" my life?" "Or how bout the time were you lied to my face about being my friend then you stole my boyfriend!? Remember that!" "Enid I-
"Save it." She reached down for her leg and pulled the cast she had on her supposedly broken leg and she ripped it off. "What are y- "you didn't save me Peyton." "What are you talking about I was right there! You were stuck and there was a walker!" "No! There wasn't a walker, I wasn't stuck and it was all a plan! Even the doctor knew it was fake!" "A plan for what?" "To make you friend, hurt your feelings then kill you!"
"I told you everything! The stuff about my parents! My secrets!?" "Yah and now I can tell people what you told me when ever I want to." "Why are you doing this?" "Why did you kiss carl?" "You. You were the one that was spying on us and you were the noise I heard! You son of a bitch!" I started running back to Alexandria as fast as I could "help!" I was almost to the gate when I got rammed by Enid. She dragged me by my hair out into the road. I screamed loud, walkers started to come out of the woods. "Enid stop what are you doing?!" Carl opened the gates and started to run toward me. Until Enid grabbed out her knife and put it to my neck making carl stop in his tracks. Lucas behind him ran back to get help. He came back with my whole group and then some. "Let her go Enid!"
"No Carl." "Why? Why are you even doing this?!" "Why are you even my boyfriend if your gonna kiss other girls?" He just stood there until he spoke up.
"Exactly! Me! Not her she didn't have anything to do with it. I kissed her she didn't even want me to." I started struggling which made Enid drop her knife and pull her gun out and point it at my head. "How bout now pretty boy? Wanna argue some more?" "No. No. No stop! What do you want? Ill do anything please don't kill her!" Lucas said tearing up.
"What I want is for her to be dead! She ruined my life!" "Well that's not going to happen!" Carl ran and tackled Enid when I was in the middle. I heard a ringing and I felt a pain in my side then everything went black.
