A Spiritual Quest (A TSS AU)

Prologue

TW. SUICIDE MENTION, DEATH MENTION, FATHER ISSUES

"ALL AROUND ME ARE FAMILIAR FACES~!!!" Shouted a boy while entering a clearing in an odd looking forest, startling the younger boy sitting near a still mirror-like lake. The lake reflected the glowing colorful forest & creatures around it.

"Yesus christ, Roman! You scared me!" said the purple clad teen as his red companion sat near him. The forest, as well as the night sky above them, seemed to become brighter, welcoming the new presence. The previously gloomy boy also seemed to glow a bit brighter. Literally.

He was as colorful & glowing as the others that surrounded them. He had black hair with lavender tips, his right eye was purple while his left one was an emerald green, his skin was as white as whipped cream and practically shone in the starlight and the glows. He wore black and purple outfit that comprised of a hoodie, a slightly ripped shirt & a, bit-more-ripped-than-the-shirt, jeans.

"Well... at least you didn't wake up this time. Sooo... win!" said the newcomer, who, unlike the beings around him, was not glowing. (wow what a surprise.)

He had tan skin & deep red-brown hair that appears to be a blood red when light shines on the strands.  He would have been a normal human from the mortal realm had it not been for his red eyes that could show him colors & others that no mere mortal could see, the same feature which had somehow granted him access to our lands. He was wearing his school uniform, minus the tie and jacket. The first few buttons on his shirt were undone.

"Yeah, right... wake up..." the purple boy said in a sullen tone, causing his friend to become slightly worried "Anyway. How was your day."

"It was as good as it can be now, i guess... Falling from fame in high school? Not a good idea. 10/10 don't recommend." he said as he saw his companion give a small sentimental smile "How was yours?"

 "Please don't ask..." the grape teen said with a small voice as he looked away.

"Alll right thennn... Want me to lovingly diss on the latest disney movie?"

"Sure."

Soon dusk fell upon the forest.

"Hey, Ro, wake up-" Said the purp man as he awoke the older, who fell asleep shortly after arriving-"Your gonna be late."

"nooo... five more minutes."

"Roman."

"Finee..."

The Empire regretfully arose (from its far-fall from grace). "Aren't you supposed to wake up too? Why are you still here?"

"I don't wanna." the other responded in an implying tone, looking Roman sadly in the eye.

"What do you mean you don't wanna? ya gotta. Even if you don't want to, you have to. I mean you have to go to school right?" Roman blurted in a panic. "Y-You even have th-th-those videos and songs ya gotta post right?" His friend shook his head with teary eyes. "rIGHT?"

"Roman what's the use?"

"Wha- what do you mean what's the use?!? how about your fans, how about our meet up?!?"

"The fans have always seen this coming. And we meet up almost every da-"

"NO! THAT IS NOT AN EXCUSE!!!! WHAT ABOUT YOUR MOM!-"     

"MY MOTHER IS DEAD, ROMAN! I REFUSE TO LIVE WITH MY FATHER! HECK I REFUSE TO LIVE! I HAVE NO MOTIVATION TO STAY OVER THERE WHATSOEVER!"

"BU-"

"UH UH UH-UH UH NO BUTS ROMAN! Just listen to what to say. Okay?" "I-" "OKAY?"

Roman took a deep breath. "Okay. Go ahead."

"Thank you." He sighed "I- Uhh- Listen. I like it here. It's calm, serene and well- it's... practically heaven. I have visited here every night since- well- I don't know- as long as I can remember... I guess.... Besides, your here.... According to me you've always been here. And I feel kinda nice when I know you're the only one who can see me " He said looking at Roman.
"And my mom's probably here too so... I don't know- I guess it just feels more like home. It- *sigh* It just feels... right, You know- ugh- wait- no- you don't know-"

"No, Lexi," said Roman, smiling while holding the others hand "I do know."
