The door burst open and came in my mom shouting that I'm late for work.

Well shit just started to hit the fan for my day ahead.

When a I got to the school a kid is already on the podium reciting the panunumpa with his right hand raised.

As I was wading through the parents and guardians na sinisilip mga anak at bantay nila sa waiting area I heard some friendly good morning teacher minoe around me and someone even jokingly remarked on my tardiness which I returned with a forced smile and continued on with my walk of shame.

For teachers' an equivalent of walk of shame is ang maglakad sa gitna ng mga bantay at parents papasok ng school habang nagsisimula na ang flag ceremony.

Well wala na akong magagawa kasalanan ko rin naman, sino ba naman kasi ang tangang mag start ng book almost midnight?

At ako yun.

Regret is really for later pero dibale na kinilig din naman ako at hanggang ngayon my mind is still filled with feels and thoughts about that book and that can't be right because in half an hour I'll have my first class. Well damn Ali Hazelwood for creating Adam Carlsen, now meron nanamang dagdag sa listahan ng dream guy ko hays.

Snap out of it think of the kids they need to learn.

It's only 9:30 am and I'm this close to call it a day. The kids are having their recess but it doesn't mean a break for me. See here if you're teaching kindergarten recess means another torrent of 'teacher teacher!' Pagbubukas ng baon and you'll get a mob of kids saying 'teacher pa-open po'.

But the perks of being with kids is they're so fun to be with. I even spied a delicious baon from one of my student and couldn't help myself.

I asked 'hey Ram you're snack looks yummy, can teacher have some?' 'Okay teacher here po'

I was like yea score sarap nung baon niya sliced fruits and I got some juicy watermelon and kiwi. Don't judge me I clearly ask consent for taking some food so please get out of my hair.

The second half of the class went by in a blur, thankfully I managed to stay sane despite my 4 and a half hour of sleep amidst the chaos of my kindergarten classes. One even asked me for my 3rd favorite reptile in the middle of an activity at medyo nag buffer ang aking brain from the question at sinabi ko nalang na lizard.

The class is finally over, we said our prayers and now I'm sending off the kids to their guardians. But I have one more kid left her sundo is probably running late so I stayed with her and wait for her guradian to pick her up.

A few minutes passed I saw a man jogged towards us, and as he got closer I have this urge to let out a whistle because my my the man seemed like in the middle of shooting a comercial or something. He's quite tall and lean but not lanky. He's wearing a suit pants paired with long sleeved shirt rolled to his elbows and a pricey looking watch on his left wrist. When he finally stopped in front of us, Lilo ran up to him and he carried her into his arms.

I steeled and ordered myself to stop gawking and talked to him.

'Hi I'm Teacher Minoe and I'm Lilo's adviser, are you the one whose gonna pick her up today? I wasn't given any notice kasi na iba yung magsusundo kay Lilo today, it was usually her mom or dad kasi.

He reached out his had and spoke 'Oh, it's nice to meet you miss. I'm Eliott Lilo's uncle, there was an emergency on both of her parent's work so they asked me to pick her up. I could call my brother and have you talk to him to confirm.'

He took out his phone and dialed a number; as he talked on the phone I got the chance to steal a glance at his face. The guy is quite handsome and did I mention he's wearing glassess? Because he is and I'm a sucker for men with glasses he's like Hirotaka from one of my favorite animes.  After he's done talking to the phone he then turned and handed me his phone. I took the phone and sure enough it was Lilo's dad on the phone. 'Hello, Teacher Minoe I'm sorry we weren't able to give a heads up regarding today's arrangement sa pag pick up kay Lilo. My wife and I both have an emergecy at work so any of us two couldn't pick her up. I sent my brother there to pick her up instead, again I'm sorry for the late notice.'

'I see, I understand po don't worry. We'll just add your brother's name on the school's list for Lilo's guardian if ever same thing happens again in the future.'

It was a brief phone call and I gave the phone back to the cute uncle.

I said to him 'All is confirmed na po, so by the school's protocol we'll just have your name on record so that in the future there will be no problem.'

'Ah yes, its Eliott Lukkas I'm this little one's favorite uncle' he replied.

As he said those words Lilo's cute face scruched up and said 'that's because your my only uncle, there's no one else to choose from.'

He just laughed and pinch Lilo's nose and when he turned he caught me smiling at them. God I hope I didn't look like obviously crushing on him ang lakas naman kasi maka gwapo nung tawa kuya eh huhu.

'It's so nice to finally meet you Minoe, we'll go ahead now see you around.' He said that with a mysterious smile then took Lilo's bag while lightly brushing his hand on my fingers then he turned to leave waving his hand with the bag he took and holding Lilo's on the other.

I was left waving back with smile and officially mildly crushing on someone that is not fictional.
