september, sixteenth.

IT WAS ONE OF THIS NIGHT where everything felt great and magical, just wandering around those streets with a smile on the lips and a light spirit, and it was even better with a win in a champion's league game and some alcohol in the veins. it made everything a bit happier and amusing, especially for tosca who felt good, really good, so good that trent had to bear her, in both sense of the word. his arm around her waist was holding her tightly, not because he wanted to, but because he was forced to. she couldn't walk straight without him. it had only been a few minutes since they had left the party and trent was already annoyed by the young woman and her laughter that didn't stop.

"oh, guarda, un piccione!" she exclaimed in italian as trent sighed. oh, look, a pigeon!

"for the hundredth time tosca, i don't know what you're saying."

"oh yeah true!" she said happily before she started to laugh again, "you should learn, it's a beautiful language you know."

"alright, how do we say "shut up and walk" in italian?"

"hey!" she slapped his chest with her hand and a small smile on her face before she marked a pause, "zitto e cammina."

"zitto e cammina then."

she muttered a few words in italians, probably insults towards trent but he couldn't care less. at the moment, the only thing he dreamed about was his bed but he wasn't going to see it anytime soon because they were on their way to tosca's flat since she lived only a ten-minute walk from james' house. all the way long she just kept talking and talking and talking. he watched her as the streetlights illuminated her freckled face without listening to a word she was saying. she was pretty like that, but so annoying he could slap her. fortunately, they had just arrived at her apartment, he was looking forward to getting back to his bed and hopefully, not hearing tosca anymore but it seemed like there was still a slight problem: the keys. she couldn't find them in her bag and he felt like he was going to explode.

"you're the most fucking annoying person i know," he said between his teeth as he tried to contain himself.

"i think i left them at james' house," she giggled drunkenly.

"it's not funny tosca!" he exclaimed as he was clearly starting to get irritated by her behaviour.

"just kidding hehe!" she finally took the keys out of her bag with a huge smile on her face, proud of her joke, but trent didn't laugh, at all.

he only put the keys in the lock and finally opened the door as he sighed with relief. he brought in tosca still holding her firmly for fear that she would fall, but as they entered the room and he finally thought he would get peace, tosca decided to play up a bit. she began to gently remove her shirt by passing it over her head while trent rolled his eyes and made her put her top back where he was. she pouted before passing her arms around trent's neck and sticking her body to his.

he sighed and a little grin appeared despite himself on his lips before he passed his hands around her waist and gently pushed her back, "you're drunk, go to sleep."

he had never really been comfortable with the idea of sleeping with her when she was drunk and he wasn't.

"i'm not drunk, i'm happy, not the same," she said by throwing her two arms into the air.

she was clearly unhappy, maybe not at the moment, but generally, she was. she never drank so much, except when something was wrong with her life, or when she felt bad. by dint of rubbing shoulders with her, trent had come to understand how the young woman worked.

"yeah yeah, if you say so, change now." he sometimes needed to take care of her as if he were his father.

"i tried to, but you didn't want to."

"i mean change for sleep tosca, not sex."

"too bad," she pouted again before starting to put on pajamas.

once changed, she slipped into the bed next to trent by resting her head on the pillow. the footballer relaxed, he could finally sleep peacefully and in silence now that tosca was calmed down.

"you know i really wanted to sleep with you," she ended up whispering, half asleep.

he rubbed his hands on his face when he understood that she was not talking about the conventional way of "sleep" and a small grin appeared on his face because it was hard to not find amusing the young woman. she always had this raw way of saying things to others, and although it could be hurtful sometimes, it was mostly very funny.

"oh trent!" she stood up suddenly which made the footballer startle.

"don't scare me like that!" he whispered loudly, "what do you want?"

"no, nothing, i forgot."

"okay sleep then, it's late," he sighed as he watched her trying to remember what she wanted to say to him.

"yes daaaaaaad," she exaggerated on the last word laughing.

he did not answer and closed his eyes to try to sleep, but he was hot, very hot, "can you open the window? it's hot in there."

"that's because of me," she laughed as he rolled his eyes.

"are you going to open it or what?" he asked as he was getting impatient.

"why me?"

"you're closer."

she groaned but got up from the bed drunkenly before opening the windows as the fresh hair hit her face. she quickly made her way back to the bed before falling onto the torso of the young man.

"you know it's not the pillow right?"

"oh shit. i thought it was," she laughed again and put her head in the right place.

trent was still trying to fall asleep when he felt a mass resting on his chest, it was tosca, once again. "stil not the pillow," he whispered with weariness.

"i know, but i prefer here."

she only acted this way because she was drunk, apart from this exception there was rarely any physical contact between the two of them — except during their romps. trent sighed but just let the young woman rest on him, even though he was warmer after that. she will probably slap him for letting her sleep in this way tomorrow but at the moment, he felt too heavy to be able to move his and her body. so he just closed his eyes and adjusted his breath along the young's woman one, hoping to fall asleep as soon as possible.
