3rd person POV:

Kaeya walked down the path that went around the whole perimeter of the walls of Monstadt as he was on patrol duty. He calmly whistled a soft tune as his gaze followed lazily what the citizens were doing during the day. Some were chatting, others were just walking or working. It was a pretty peaceful day even tho the tension in the air could be easily sensed...
Just a few weeks before the peaceful city was attacked by Stormterror. Sure the people of Monstadt didn't lose any time in recovering from the event and fix the damage done to the city but still, the fear of another attack was running through everyone's mind... Constantly.

Kaeya sighed as he continued walking to finish his patrol shift before heading back to the Knights of Favonius Headquarters for the change of the guard. He kept thinking of how he couldn't be able to do anything as the city was attacked even tho he was the Cavalry Captain. Hell he couldn't even imagine how Jean felt...
He was about to start heading back before a certain (h/c) girl caught his eye. He immediately stopped and looked at her as a smirk formed on his lips. He looked at the girl who was walking down the street with Donna, the florist. The
(h/c) girl was listening to the other girl going on and on about something.

Kaeya chuckled as the girl totally ignored Donna and her blathering. He swiftly made his way down the wall and walked towards the 2 girls.

Your POV:

I kept on walking as I didn't bother to listen to Donna's blathering of how handsome Diluc was, how smart he was, how great he was, how talented he was, just a continuous going on of Diluc here, Diluc there, Diluc, Diluc, Diluc.
I was starting to get slightly annoyed just hearing the name of that grumpy guy being repeated over and over again... Sure Donna was my friend but sometimes she needed to know when to stop...

"(Y/N)!"

I heard someone shout from behind. I turned around and so did Donna. We both immediately recognized the blue haired man jogging towards us with a smile plastered on his face.

"Oh hi"

I said flashing him a smile. He stopped in front of us and goofily bowed at me

"Miss (y/n),-"

He turned to the brunette and did the same

"-Donna"

He stood back up as his gaze was laid on me.

"How have you been, Captain?"

He chuckled

"No need for formalities (y/n), just call me Kaeya"

He said with a smirk plastered on his face.

"Anyways I'm good thanks but-"

He moved forward and wrapped an arm around my shoulders, pulling me closer to him as he turned to Donna

"-may I steal her from you?"

Donna let out a faint giggle as she saw my surprised face.

"Sure can, but don't do anything bad to her"

She said as she started walking away.
My eyes widened as Kaeya sneaked a hand under my knee and one behind my back, picking me up in the process.
A faint blush appeared on my cheeks as Kaeya was now holding me bridal style.
