Never in a million years would he think he would fall for his own best friend. But the more Iwazumi looked at him closely everything was perfect. The hair, lips, eyes, voice, personality. Oikawa will forever be his soulmate even if one is gone the other will never find someone that makes their heart beat the same as it had done with the other.

December 16th 9am

Snow had still been falling and there lies 2 best friends holding each other tight one asleep, the other not paying attention to the movie. Just paying attention to their friend. The other slowly awakes, quickly the one watching eyes bolt to the television.

Oikawa's POV

"Iwa- Chan, can you please get me hot chocolate?" I slowly look up at him, his eye fixated on the movie we were watching last night. His skin tan and has a slight shine from the outside, his tired green eyes having a small glint in them, hair was slightly a mess but it looked good on him, and his lips were forming into a smile.

"Why can't you get your own Kawa." He looked at me with a smirk on his face. "Or do ya need me too be your perfect maid?"

"I don't know about perfect." I say as I roll my eyes.

"How rude." He gets up throwing his pillow at me.

"Mhm and where are you going?"

"To make us hot chocolate? You said you wanted some." He looks and me and saying it with a monotone voice.

"Aww so sweet Iwa- Chan!" I yell as he walks down the stairs.

Iwazumi POV

I warm up the milk on the stove top, hearing Oikawa's footsteps as he goes down the stairs. I look over at him for a second seeing them holding our ice skates. "Look at what I found~"

We drink the hot chocolate a couple small glances at each other and a small smile resting on their face. A small bit a chocolate resting on his upper lip and his eyes laying upon his mug. A piece of hair laying on his forehead covering most of his eyes that it's difficult to tell when he looks back up at me. "You ready to leave?" I get up slowly sticking out my hand for Oikawa to grab. And that he does, he takes my hand softly, his fingertips resting on my wrist. Heading cocking up to look me in the eyes and his hair now laid falling back.

"Yup, but don't you think we need to maybe like dress warmer?" He says a smile forms on his face, all because he knew he was right. I completely forgot about that...

"Right, do you need to grab anything from home before we go?" I look down at him sitting in the chair.

"Nope"

Skating

Putting on my shoes Oikawa stands up saying that he is going to skate while I put my shoes on. As he walks by me, I look at him like he is everything, the only thing in this whole universe... But in a friend way. Right? As he steps on the rink, he looks back at me, I jolt my head back to putting on my shoes. Soon enough I could tell his eyes had left me looking back all I see is Oikawa skating, smiling, having the best time he had had in a while. He comes back around to me as if he knows I already have my shoes on forcing me onto ice

One step, two steps, and falling. A snort leaves his mouth as he is laughing and helping me up. That idiotic smile that makes everything positive. "Want to hold my hand so you don't fall?" I look right back to him. He has a small smile that's trying not to become a larger one and his eyes brimmed with tears from laughing so much.

I say nothing, I still reach out for his hand taking it. His slim fingers wrap around mine and grasped on tightly as we continue to move farther onto the ice, I look at him and he turns his head looking right back at me. With a small reassuring look. Telling me that he won't let go unless I tell him too.

As time goes by more and more people leave, soon me and Oikawa are the last there. I bring him to the middle of the rink, getting the hand of everything I pull him into me. His eyes widen with shock as I wrap my arms around him and look at him. His hands rest upon my shoulders and his face inches away from mine. Blush had risen to his face and with a smirk I pull him closer into me, our faces only centimeters away from one another's. Oikawa soon saying, "Iwa- Chan we should go home now..." His eyes looking anywhere else but me.

My arms stay around his waist, "Oikawa can I..." he looks at me after a few seconds of saying that. He nods his head with a smile, I pull him in closer as my lips softly touch his. His hands wrap around my neck. His eyes slowly close as the kiss deepens.

Opening our eyes, we just look at each other not knowing what to say, Oikawa looks away again. Not even a single glance back, "We should go before they lock up." he skates away. But something had changed, there was no longer a smile rested on his face. Neutral was all that his was showing.

Back at home

We haven't said a word on the bus to each other. Opening the door, I walk off to the kitchen making dinner for us both. I hear the tv turn on. Looking back, I see Oikawa sitting down on the ground looking up at the tv with tears in his eyes... But why?

"You ok Oikawa? What happened, did the dog die already or something?"

He looks up to me and back to the tv, whipping away his tears and trying to make his face as serious as he can, "Do you even like me Iwazumi? Or did you just kiss me to mess with me?" more tears fill his eyes.

Walking over to the couch I sit by him and wrap my arms around him. I would've never thought that he was crying about that... I never really just gave much thought about the kiss. "Oikawa, I would ever mess with you like that give me time to think maybe?" I look at him tears brimming my eyes, I didn't think that me kissing him was that big of a deal to him. I just wasn't thinking about what could be the effects of that action.

"I... Ok, I'm going to bed for right now." He gets up walking up the stairs to my room, without eating.

So here I sit tonight, eating alone on the floor thinking. Do I like my best friend? What will happen in the end? And does he like me...?

I think I only have the answer for the last one... that is no. He doesn't because he has everything he wants. The girls, the team, and the reputation. And, for that moment during the kiss nothing else had mattered.
