"So... how exactly are we going to leave the forest?" Donnie asked, still beaten up after the fight with the Dark Talismans. "It's not like we can walk in a straight line and get out. This place is very creepy." The group agreed in a chorus.

"For now, we should just rest. It was a very long day after all."

"Bold of you to say that. You didn't fight Sin" Anne complaint. "Once again, you always just stay there doing nothing."

"I didn't intervene because I wouldn't have helped... You guys managed to win so..."

"So, what Sin? We almost died, while you just watch."

"Anne, no need to shout." Percival tried to talk with the girl. "We are fine now. Sin's plan actually worked, so maybe, for today, let's just rest. It's too dark to do anything now." Forcefully, Anne agreed with a grunt. She could be mad, but right now, she didn't have the energy to tell Sin everything she had in mind.

In between braided branches and leaves, the group laid close to sleep. In the middle, a fire to warm their drained bodies as their minds drifted away with the soft rustle of trees. More than getting sleep, they entered a coma for their bodies to be of use the next day. Everyone was able to fall in a trance during the starless night. A well-deserved rest.

Then, a scream woke up the group.

"I'm sorry I-"

"Who even are you?" "What's happening?" Everyone talked at the same time in confusion with the early awake. Questions and no answers flooded the space. Most, focused on one thing: Who was the new girl between them?

"Hey, shut up!" Sin shouted. "It's okay." He mumbled while inspecting the girl. His eyes slowly analyzed the situation, either with extreme caution or laziness. "We are fine," he said finally with a sigh.

"I'm sorry I scared you." The girl apologized to Donnie, who was shivering on the ground. "It was only a suggestion for you to not get lost..."

"What did you tell him?"

"To stay close."

"I was going to pee..." Donnie said with a shaky voice.

"Then go." Nasiens said.

"No need now." Donnie wept in shame curled up on the grass.

The group's attention went back to the new girl, who after the fuss of Donnie's scream has stayed frozen in a spot. "So, who are you?" Anne was the first to talk.

"My name is Dalis. Nice to meet you" She replied with a smile. Her soft features, and ametheist eyes beamed with the sun rays that entered between the trees.

"Why are you here?" Nasiens questioned, but he found his answer in the fox.

"Because, she is our way out of this forest."
