How it started

Rachel P.O.V
I open the front door after collecting Noah from his school I drop out bags by the door and hang my coat up I may be 11 but I'm given responsibilities and that includes picking up my 7 year old brother

Rachel: Mum? Dad? Where are you?

I head into my parents room and I find it empty that's weird.

Rachel: Noah?

Noah: Yeah?

He comes up beside me

Rachel: Do you know where mum and dad are?

Noah: I haven't seen them since this morning what's wrong Rachie

Rachel: nothing is wrong just go and watch some cartoons I'll be back down soon

Noah: okay

He heads downstairs as I walk in my parents room to see a note

Rachel: I should be use to this with them leaving us on our own it's something I've learnt to deal with

We're leaving, we've had enough of all of this we figured you might as well look after Noah seeing as all you do is look after him so why not give him to you.

4 years later

Rachel P.O.V

Nothing's really changed since that day I'm now 15 years old still looking after Noah on my own whose now 11 himself.

No one else really knows what's going on apart from my glee club teacher Mr Schuester and he helps a lot he often comes round and takes us food shopping or takes us shopping in general if we need new things.

I on the other hand well I'm working 2 jobs to try and pay rent and electric everything to keep us warm and safe.

It's not much of a 15 year old life but it keeps Noah happy and that's all I've ever wanted.

I also made a best friend Kitty Wilde she is also in my year and in my class and also in glee club so we spend a lot of time together sometimes she babysits Noah whilst I go to work, that's if Mr Schue can't make it.

I try.

2 years later

It's finally happening.

I can't believe it.

I come out behind the curtain from the side of the auditorium and I hear cheers as I walk up to the stage and to collect my certificate and see Mr Schue and Noah in the crowd cheering.
