I open my eyes to see I'm in my warm bed. I check my alarm clock, 7:30. I sit up and push the blankets off of myself and sit up from my bed. I stand up and look in the mirror. My short caramel brown hair is very messy. I smile at myself and jump into the shower.
I look into my closet deciding on what I can wear on this pleasant winter day. I decide on a blue hoody and some grey jogging pants. I put my hair in a pony tail and check my phone, only 8:30. I have 20 minutes until I need to head to school. I walk out of my room and knock on my brother'a door, Caden.
"Hey Caden 20 minutes until we leave." I inform him. He nods his head and shoos me out of his room.
I sit on the couch waiting for Caden on my phone. Suddenly, I get a call from my friend Chelsea. I answer it and say "Hello."
"Hey Mackenzie. Do you mind if I can get a ride with you to school today?" She asks.
"Of course! I will be at your house about 15 minutes." I reply.
She then hangs up the phone without saying goodbye. Rude, but I can never stay mad at her. I put my phone away and wait for Caden.
After about 5 minutes of waiting he comes out into the living room saying "Come on little sis let's go."
I smirk at his remark and say "I'm a year younger and I'm in grade 10 how am I little?"
He smirks and walks out of the door. I quickly following behind him.
