{(Time skip - 2 months) sorry for all the time skips}

Less than a month after Goliath and Mehr joined the scouts, almost all of the scouts, including Ansgar and Rouge, trusted them. It turns out that Mehr knew a lot more about titans' past and anatomy than Ansgar or Goliath. She was able to inform them about all the titan species, her species being social and friendly allowing them to have close bonds with other titan species. She also had told them that at around four months in, Rouge should be having his pups.

Now, Rouge being four and a half months in, mostly everyone was on edge, knowing that it could happen any day. Over the days and weeks, Rouge was really showing signs that he was having more than one pup. His stomach was completely stretched, now adorning stretch marks, and he began to have trouble walking or bending down. All of this just made Ansgar fret over him more. He was constantly by Rouge's side, not leaving his side for anything. Rouge had to admit, it was, at some points, annoying but he understood Ansgar's worry. Sometimes, he even enjoyed how much attention he was getting. Ansgar still went out to hunt but he had always made it quick, despite knowing that his mate was in the safe hands of the scouts and his best friend. Before they had entered the walls, Mehr went back to retrieve her pup before bringing her to the walls. With Mehr having experienced pregnancy before, she and Rouge were quite close. If Rouge ever needed anything while Ansgar was gone, she would be there to retrieve it.

Today was like any normal day. It was afternoon and Rouge, Ansgar, Mehr, Goliath, and a small group of scouts were gathered on the nest near the door so Goliath could join in as they were swapping stories and playing games. Everyone was smiling and having a good time, everyone besides Levi of course, as they played a game of charades. Rouge was in utter bliss, getting to spend time with his family and have fun. But his happiness was interrupted by a sharp pain in his stomach, causing his hands to fly to his stomach, trying to soothe the pain. Having noticed his abrupt movements, everyone quieted down and looked at him in worry, Levi, surprisingly, being the first to speak up questioned him

"What's wrong shitty brat," he questioned with a straight face but deep down, he was worried for Rouge.

As opened his maw to respond, a feeling of pain and nausea crashed over him, making him close his maw, as to not cry out in pain or throw up as he felt his throat begin to salivate.

Suddenly Mehr spoke up "Oh my god," was all she said.

Ansgar whipped his head to look at her as Rouge cried out in pain, still holding his stomach.

"What's wrong with him? Is he ok?" Ansgar frantically asked as he tried to help soothe Rouge's pain but nothing was working.

"Rouge is in labor," Mehr said slightly panicked, eyes wide.

Everything stopped before everyone broke into a semi-panic as Levi began shouting orders, eyes blown wide in shock; Hange squealing, shaking Moblit and telling him to write everything down.

(NOTE: I got this idea from Redcoaster's story, Rouge, part 2 chapter 25: Almost. All rights for this idea go to Redcoaster. Now let's continue)

Earlier that month, Mehr had informed Hange about the birthing process of a titan. Instead of giving birth like most mammals, titans passed the baby as if it was a titan pellet, by throwing up the pup.

(Start of the birth process. If you do not want to read it, I will put a mark at the end of it)

With all the chaos happening, the scouts still listened to Levi as most of them were ordered out, not including Mikasa, Armin, Hange, Moblit, Erwin, and Levi himself. While this was all happening, Rouge had gone from sitting with his legs crossed, to on his hands and knees, breathing heavily, crying out from the pain. Ansgar stood next to him, trying to relieve his mate's pain as much as he could but nothing was working. Meanwhile, Mehr was gathering most of the bedding into one spot, Which, if Ansgar had to guess, was where he could set down a pup to catch the next one.
