The sun rose over a newly owned house. The rays cut through a glass window lighting up a room. Among which a few landed on a pair of closed eyes. Being awakened from them, George turned to his back and tossed his sheets over him. As he was to leave to the world of dreams again he heard a voice call out to him.

"GEORGE! WAKE UP! IT'S THE FIRST DAY!" His mother called out from outside the closed door.

Hearing this, George threw the sheets up and staggered out of bed almost falling as he ran across his room and pulled open his door.

"COMING! ILL BE DOWN IN 10!"

George's mother heard what sounded like a bowling ball fall down the stairs. Looking behind her in alarm, she saw George run in the kitchen looking like he could barely walk until he found his balance and stopped in front of her.

"WOOH! Eheh... what's the time?..." He asked while panting and trying to calm down from the rush.

"It's only 7.00 George." She said trying not to smile at how rushed he look.

"Oh what..."

"George, honey, you didn't over sleep" She said straightening out his ruffled sleeve.

"Then why did you call out so loud?"

"It's your first day! You know, I'm excited for you!"

"Mom... what time should I actually leave then?"

"About 7.30, it's not too far. You know the route right?"

"Yeah, I know, I guess I can properly get ready then, I'll be back in 10"

after having a cleaner bath, George headed back down to the kitchen after getting dressed properly. Finishing his breakfast he saw the time was 7.23.

"Its 7.30, I'll start heading to school then. Bye mom!" He said getting up from his seat and wearing his back pack.

"Have a great day sweetie, be safe and have fun! And George?"

"Yeah?"

"Don't worry about people judging you for being color blind ok? I'm pretty sure there's other people at school who are like you too. I love you George." She said giving him a hug.

"Thanks mom, love you too. I'll see you after school! Bye!" He said and closed the door behind him.

George walked along the sidewalk towards his new school. It was a different experience from what he was used to. Moving to a new house quite far from where he used to live, the roads were more empty and quiet. It ran alongside the sidewalk and was the border between civilization and the thick forest that grew on the opposite side. The sidewalk was built in front of each neighboring house, but occasionally George would come across parts of land that wasn't owned and had a few trees and shrubs growing in it. The contrast between a wild berry bush and a concrete wall showed the people didn't bother to rid of all signs of nature and let what was left, grow. It was peaceful and vehicles would go down the road from time to time, but for the most part it was silent and all he heard was the forest speaking. Be it a bird calling its fellow brethren for a chance of a meal, or the leaves it selves brushing against each other, George enjoyed the new journey he would be living through for the next few years.

George stood on the dirt path. He looked up at the giant rectangular building standing in front of him. It remained a rectangular building for a distance before growing into wider more square building behind. The path he was on stretched out a great distance up to the front entrance of the building where it formed into a wide circle. Grass grounds filling in the sides of the path. The school flag flew on a pole growing out of the center of the dirt circle. The flag had half a black circle, outlined in a piercing yellow with white, blue and red stripes and red crosses, the flag of the L, Manburg School. Multiple students occupied areas of the grounds. Some of them in groups and some alone. There were more students outside the walls among George who were either talking with someone or rushing in the gates and down the path. Being cut back to reality from a student who called out to him to move, George went past the wrought iron gates and into the school grounds.

He looked around at the other students nervously, seeing they were acting normal and laughing along or discussing a deadline project with others, it made him more nervous to go inside the school and to his new class. As a student pushed the glass doors in George followed in and as they closed behind him he faced a long hall filled with students. All he heard was people talking and gossiping. He saw some race down the hall, he saw some hang out by their lockers, and everything he expected, but was nervous of. George walked down the hall, excusing himself through a few crowds and eventually came to his assigned locker.

"Alright, it's ok. It's just a new school, ill slowly get used to it. Yeah, nothing wrong, wait where's my-" The bell rang and the hall went silent as the students spread out to return to their classes. Soon the hall was empty and George was frozen for a minute confused on what to do for some reason but he immediately grabbed his class schedule out of his bag and rushed to his homeroom.
