Dawns POV:

A new day. Time to forget about yesterday. The perfect distraction has and always will work. Getting lost in-between shelves reading the covers and finding your new favourite book. Which is exactly what I will be doing today.

I start scanning through books and stacking shelves when he comes up to the counter. With beautiful blue eyes and dazzling blonde hair.

"Hi, how can I help you?" I ask with my horrid customer service voice.

His eyes glint with a sense of amusement, "Hi I'm Jack, I was just wondering whether you have 'The Great Gatsby' in stock?"

"Hi Jack, I'm Dawn," I state not sure why we are exchanging names, "I'm not quite sure whether we do but I can check for you," I start to search in the system for his book, taking a bit longer than I need to, "Do you like to read classics?"

"Yes, classics are my favourite type of book. I'm going out on a limb here," he says chuckling to himself, "but because you work in a book shop, I'm going to assume that you like to read?"

"You assumed correctly," I mused looking up into his eyes. He must be at least 6'4.

"Well, Dawn, what is your favourite type of book?"

"Probably fantasy? Or just contemporary."

"And why would that be?" he asks with a sly smile.

"I guess to escape reality and join in on a world where my problems aren't," I state truthfully. He gives me a confused look.

"And what would a beautiful girl, like you, living in Paris have problems about?" he gives another question seeming truly interested in my answer.

Right as I gather my answer the main problem walks through the door.

"If you want to know what one of my problems is, look behind you."

Jack turns around as Harry looks toward me. Harry flashes his most cunning smile. Jack tenses and seems to build his stance at the sight of Harry.

"Hi, Ambers," Harry chimes across the shop. Already making his way over to the counter.

Jack turns around and looks at me concerned, "Your problem is Harry Styles? From the band Ephialtes?"

Oh shit. I forgot he was famous. "Uh yeah? I've known him for a while. He's a dick."

Harry finally finished his stride and pulls up right next to Jack. God this man grows more stunning every day.

"Hi Harry, meet Jack. He loves to read," I scoff but give my best admiration look at Jack.

"Hey bro, mind if I talk to my girl for a second?"

Jack's jaw drops to the ground.

I scoff and roll my eyes, "Harry piss off, I'm not your girl and I never will be. Let me finish my conversation with Jack."

"Your girl?" Jack still watching Harry with pure amazement, "Man I'm sorry I thought she was free," he looks toward me, "Bye Dawn. Also, don't worry about that book." Jack finished and was halfway out the door before I could even say bye.

"Wtf is wrong with you Harry? And how do you even know where I work?" I glare at him and push my temper on all my words.

"Well, I would have at least liked a nice greeting. But good to see you again Ambers. I was just here to grab a book."

"You better hurry up and do that before I kick you out of here," I argue back to him

"Aw come on Ambers, cheer up. But I do have to do ask you one thing before I grab that book," he continued whilst focusing on me.
