Chapter 2

Recap:

While Balam-sensei consoles Iruma, saying that he won't do any of that, nor Sullivan or Opera, his and Kalego-sensei's hearts broke for this poor boy who was in desperate need of family love.

So,

Steeling himself for what he is about to do since his gut is telling him that his heart won't be able to escape from Iruma's hands when he does it, 'well there won't be much different then.', Kalego-sensei runs away.

Only to go rushing back a few seconds later (seemed like eternity to him) to the door, and opens the door slowly, trying not to alarm the unsuspecting of his arrival...

Which apparently was a terrible mistake because it made the loudest creak he's ever heard in his entire life and freaked the living daylight's out of the two. 'Could it be any louder? So much for trying not to scare them.' Annoyed, Kalego sighed prior to closing the door behind him.

As for the two cuddling, Iruma almost fell off of Shichiro's lap if it wasn't for Shichiro's mother hen instincts grabbing and wrapping him protectively against his chest in anticipation of whatever possible threat may come to his child... Until he saw Kalego. Relaxing a tiny bit, the look of surprise on his face, even with his mask on, clearly asked, 'why are you here? Did you hear anything?' Iruma not knowing it was Kalego, heard his heartbeat thumbing in his head, terrified, and clutching onto Shichiro for dear life.

The room now wrapped in silence, as a wordless conversation passed between Kalego and Shichiro. Only when Shichiro relaxed his death grip on Iruma, did Kalego start moving closer. He knew better than to carelessly approach a parent on flight or fight mode with their child in his arms.

Putting down his bag on the table, he sat next to Shichiro but with Iruma's back to him, picked up the lukewarm hell tea (presumably Shichiro's cup) and took a sip before saying, "Iruma".

Jolt, hearing Kalego-sensei right behind him, Iruma got another jump scare. His mind immediately went into panic mode, 'Why is he here? Did he hear everything? Did he come here to say that he doesn't want to teach me anymore? Is he gonna abandon m—

"Iruma. You're really an idiot."

"Huh-" "Kal-"

"Blind as well."

"Wh-" "Oi-"

"Do you really think we are like your human parents?"

Gasp, 'HE KNOWS, HE HEARD US!' Iruma internally screams.

"Listen carefully, I'll only say this once. There is no way in HELL I'm gonna let you go. Not after you wormed into my heart. Doesn't matter whether you are a human or a demon. Whoever comes close to my child with intend of harm, I'll claw out their throats and give them the worst torture ever, never to be in reach of my child again. Understood?"

"Now that, I agree, Kalego-kun."

Shifting his position so that he can stare right into their eyes, "Really? Are you really sure Kalego-sensei? Balam-sensei? I'm a human, I'm not supposed to be here. You sure you're ok with me?"

Putting his tea down, he crossed his arms, typical stoic face with a touch of blush, "Never been surer in my life." "Yup, yup" Shichiro agrees with a hidden smile.

Overwhelmed with joy, Iruma cries and bounces on them with a hug, almost making the couch fall backwards. "T-Thank you, thank you. I love you both! You're the best parents I could ask for!"

Shichiro and Kalego sharing a smile, "We love you too". All three of them cuddle until Iruma falls asleep. Seeing that they'd definitely stay the night with no heart to wake him up, Shichiro quickly made their nest with his vines and cushions while Kalego moved Iruma to the bed, careful not to awaken the boy.

"Looks like we got a new addition to our family Kalego-kun." He was beaming.

"Yeh, we sure did. We should better go to bed as well; we've got an early morning tomorrow"

Clipping off his mask, and placing it down on the table, "yeh we do"

"Shichiro."

"Hmm?"

"You do know that I love you too, right? We never confessed to each other."

Blushing, "O-oh, yeh. That right, we never did. It was quite obvious tonight though. I love you too."

"mmm... So hurry up and cuddle. I'm not gonna wait all night." Kalego said while pretending to be asleep with a massive blush covering his face and even his neck.

Flabbergasted and with a deep blush of his own, Shichiro succumb to Kalego's desire and big spoons him and Iruma. Content with what he now has, he lets out a sigh of relief and starts to let sleep overtake him...

"Shichiro"

"hmmm?"

"remind me tomorrow to apologize to Iruma."

Yawn, "What for?"

"I kicked him off the cliff at the beginning of the flying race."

"wait, YOU WHAT?????!!"

Why did Kalego run away you ask?
First off, ran away isn't quite accurate. It was more so of a quick, inaudible infinite sign pacing right next to the door. As of why? It's because he was absolutely dreadful. His skin colour wouldn't lose to Purson's half visible form. He was horribly dreadful of the text he had to send to a certain someone waiting for Iruma. He should just zap zap, and do it for Iruma so that he can go inside? Yup, I agree. Don't get me wrong, he's trying his hardest to do just that, however, him asking Opera for a favor and let Shichiro and himself take care of Iruma for the night? Just how long do you think Opera tease the hell out of him. Opera knows of his massive crush. But being the only one available to tell him and with probably the last chance to do so before he inevitably forgets that he's out there waiting, in favour of spending time with Iruma and Shichiro, he had to send the text. For Kalego, it would be much better for him to be teased over a text than Opera barging in and interrupting his family time. Yup, substantially better. He shuddered as he sent the text, praying to Derkila that Opera doesn't become curious or insist he take Iruma home.

Putting his phone away, he finally re-approaches the door and opens the door slowly, trying not to alarm the unsuspecting of his arrival...

Opera on the other hand, when he received the text saying, 'Iruma fell asleep, Shichiro and I will look after him.', as much as he was tempted to barge in, he gave Kalego one night of mercy before the inevitable tease. Mainly for Iruma's sake cause he knows how much Iruma looks up to Kalego and Shichiro, like a little child. Not that he didn't realise that both of them cared for Iruma like their own son.

So instead, he sent a text to Sullivan saying that Iruma is staying over at school cause he "fell asleep" and that Shichiro and Kalego gave their word to keep him safe. That didn't stop Sullivan from spamming his phone with thousands of messages within the few minutes that Opera flew to arrive back home, nor trying to escape from Opera to go to Iruma. RIP Opera.
