“Seb.” James poked Sebastian’s arm.
“Oh shut up, I’m nervous!”
“You’re sweating terribly.” James told him as he wiped the sweat off Sebastian’s forehead with his own hanky.
“Yah! Move away! You’re my best man, not my whore!”
“Aisht, still ill tempered! I wonder how Brooke deals with you.”
The two stood handsomely there waiting at the altar as the procession went on. Sebastian continued to wipe the sweat on his forehead as he wait in so much anticipation for his bride.
This is it. The day has come.
One by one the bridesmaids and the groomsmen walked down as the aisle- Charlotte with Sean, Misty with Dylan, Crystal with Yves and Samantha being trailed by the kids.
The church was adorned with fresh carnations and roses and tulips. Apart from that, everything was white. All of which made the place appear to be more of a paradise.
And Brooke was the goddess in white, being escorted by their proud grandfather.
The wedding was grand, as the old Park insisted. He said his granddaughter deserves such and Sebastian and his family were quick to oblige. A trusted media partner was approved to cover the entire ceremony including the after party. And those invited were prominent people. Well known. All from the upper society, where the Parks belong.
Brooke couldn’t help but feel her cheeks burn, her eyes welling up with tears of joy and hope for this new stage in her life… Of their lives now that there’s a life forming in her womb. She gently touched her still flat stomach and smiled allowing her tears to flow freely.
“Who gives this woman to this man in marriage?” the priest asked when Brooke and the old Park reached the altar.
“I do.” The old man said before turning to Sebastian.
“G-grandfather…” Sebastian felt his voice shook a bit. The feeling is too much for him to take. Never in his wildest imaginations did he thought it would feel like this.
The old man smiled at him as he shook hands with him. “I don’t have to threaten you once more, young man. My grandchildren are very precious to me. You know what I’m capable of doing. Are we clear?
“Grandpa!” Brooke whined earning her a chuckle from the old man.
“Just kidding. I’m entrusting you to her Sebastian. Make sure to treat her with equal value.”
“Grandpa… she’s more than that to me. They’re my life now.” Sebastian answered with his deep voice and sincere eyes. Brooke could just cry more. The old man then kissed Brooke on her cheeks before finally giving way to Sebastian, handing off Brooke to him.
Samantha then went to Brooke’s side and the bride was quick to hand her her bouquet. James eagerly looked at the calm face of Samantha. She’s in a royal blue gown, the motif which Brooke picked. She looked every inch a beauty and James just couldn’t help but wish he can give her a wedding as grand as this as soon as he can. Ahhh… If only he came from a well-off family, probably, he already married her ahead of this couple.
“Dear friends and family, we are gathered here today to witness and celebrate the union of Brooke and Sebastian in marriage. Through their time together, they have come to realize that their personal dreams, hopes, and goals are more attainable and more meaningful through the combined effort and mutual support provided in love, commitment and family; and so they have decided to live together as husband and wife.”
