During her time here, Alora began to pick up fresh information from the others. She discovered that this was all part of a system. That's what they refer to it as. You'll have to pass two challenging tests. The first one was about you facing your anxieties and conquering them. Surprisingly, Alora breezed through the test rather quickly, leaving the others speechless. The second test, on the other hand, was a mystery to them. It was only a matter of deliberation. They noticed that others came and went because they passed the test but couldn't inform them in time. This left the victorious to be free and the confused to be stranded. They also knew that they would have certain moments that will stick out as a blur.

The atmosphere was serene. Alora sensed something wasn't quite right about the circumstances she was in, but she couldn't pinpoint what it was. Her calm was tinged with a sense of impending disaster. Despite the fact that she was gradually fitting in, she couldn't help but be curious.  Later, she discovered that the residence had more than one occupants. Michael, Tori, and Von were there, as was Addy, her new roommate. These were the few people she had become acquainted with. Alora and Addy quickly became friends rather quickly do to their similar interest. Addy would sometimes tell her that someday her curiousness would get her into deep trouble. Alora shakes off her comment. She knew deep down Addy was right. Sometimes it is ok to just stay curious.

Besides their first encounter and their introductions, Arman was not a man of words. he was rather a silent observer. A person that expresses himself more through actions.  He keeps his thoughts to himself. After several persuasions from Addy, Alora learned that Arman has been here the longest. Alora also learned this information from Michael, his roommate. Michael found Arman here alone. In this dark house, there was no one but him. He was asleep in a corner like a rabbit in it's rabbit hole. She couldn't help but wonder how terrible that must have been. To be alone for God knows how long.

Addy also told Alora that sometimes Arman would assist those in passing the first test but he never held any malice when they would leave before he could. This is because he believes that he will never pass the last test and he is now stuck here. They all knew that he secretly wouldn't wish that what was happening to him would happen to them. Gradually after a period of time his smile and positive attitude diminished. He was now just a hollow shell in their eyes. An angel in disguised who has lost it's wings to fly. It was tragic in Alora's eyes.

Though Alora disagrees she felt like Adam still held that little feeling of hope. She could see it in his eyes. She knew that saying this out would seem weird since she just met the boy. Like they said Arman was not a man of words, but his action screamed that he was willing to move on. Willing to mend his wings or grow his own pair of wings and soar through the sky. She knew he was stuck fighting his own demons. They all were. Just because he was here longer doesn't make their situation a whole different.  The small eye contact and the small smiles they share were her proof, so she stayed silent and keep all those moments to herself. Deep down she was grateful. She was grateful that Arman was willing to smile at her and give her the time of the day. She was grateful that she could provide him some sense of hope. Alora was especially grateful that he was there when she needed someone the most. She do hope that she can return the favor.

Alora thought that Arman found it hard to keep his walls up to control them. If no strings were attached then maybe it wouldn't hurt in the long run. She knew that this will result in a more severe and desired longing, but the act can only go on for so long. When those walls crack it will create an array of emotions that she knew Arman himself couldn't keep. It will bring upon his impending doom and he would be shattered. This would cause him to pick up those pieces slowly but surely. Not minding all the cuts and pain he suffered along that way to build his wall so high and so thick so that nothing would be able to penetrate it. For all he knew, He only had himself.

During her days here Alora spent her time in the furthest corner of the library. Surprisingly she found out about the library after following Arman one day. He personally lead her there after finding out that she likes to read. With no discussion most of the time, they both read in silence. Away from each other and away from their demons. Alora knew that escaping to the fictional world wouldn't help her case, but for now, she allowed it. Nothing was wrong with being fixated in a world that wasn't yours, or one that does not exist. To her, it was a new way of her expressing her desires and finding herself.  It was a new sense of freedom from what she was missing.

She had a habit of reading romance novels from time to time. She would be curious about what it means to be loved and to love. Was it just a game, she wondered? Was it an establishment clause? Was it anything she had seen before? All of her questions were unanswered, but she did know that it was something she wanted to experience. Clearing those thoughts from her mind she was getting bored and was feeling a little bit more chatty today than usual.

At that thought, she looked up to check on Arman. She was expecting to see his face in his book but was surprised to see him already looking at her. He looked around the room as Alora tilt her head to the side in confusion. Arman then waved her over and she look at him surprised. Sending a small smile, she got up and move over to Arman's side. He watched her intently studying her every move giving her the same smile she gave to him.  This was how they were and there she enjoyed every minute of it.
