Balqiisa's POV:

Verity was sick the whole damn week and it felt awful not being able to pour out my feelings to her. Luckily, it was the weekend so I decided to visit her.

I put on a comfortable outfit and tied my curly hair into a quick bun. Then I made my way down the stairs of my glamorous house.

Most people would be surprised to see a girl like me living in such a house by myself but it's one of the only things my parents had left in their will to me and Namjoon.

After slipping on my brown Jordans, I stepped through the front door and into the fresh air, sighing deeply. It felt relieving to have the sunshine on my face. She only lived a few minutes away so I walked down the pavement, squinting my eyes from the sun. I pulled out my phone and texted Verity to tell her I was on my way.

There was a bag in my hand filled with Verity's favorite snacks, sweets, and beverages. Of course, I hadn't forgotten to bring the chicken soup I made earlier.

Reaching the front door, I knocked rapidly, waiting for her to open the door. Not a second later, Verity opened the door with a large blanket draped over her shoulders. Just by seeing her face again, all my worries washed away.

"Hello," I said with a huge grin on my face. Her lips turned upwards into a smile.
"Feels like it's been forever!"

Looking at me with widened eyes she said, "You did not have to get me ALL of this." As if she didn't believe her eyes.
"Uhh what type of friend wouldn't bring their sick friend chicken soup?" I said sarcastically.

"Ok enough about food. SPILL THE MOTHERFUCKING TEA!" Her ears were ready to listen to the events that had conspired a few days back. Preparing myself, I took a deep breath in. I told her everything and how Joon had kept in touch with me. I even had to pull my phone out for the receipts.

Her eyes bored into my dark brown ones as she was listening intently while licking an ice cream lolly. The sight almost made me laugh. When my small rant had ended, I looked at Verity nervously, waiting for her advice.

It looked as if her mind was somewhere else completely after I had stopped talking. Only after she had regained her "consciousness" did she lay her advice onto me.
"I think it's great that he's trying to mend your relationship and that he feels comfortable introducing his friends to you. You should give him a chance." She paused before continuing, "But the second he gets here, you scold that bitch with everything you got. Does he even know how much he missed?" I laughed at the last comment, knowing he didn't miss much.

My smile had quickly faded when I realised I was not the same as Namjoon. Anyone could tell him and I were not blood-related. My skin tone was darker and my lips were full and plump. I had almond-shaped eyes with naturally long eyelashes. We didn't even look the same race! Obviously, I was adopted but I had already learned to live with it. But what would his friends say, his fan base? Would they accept that he was my brother?

Verity saw my face and asked what was wrong. "What do you think they will say about me being black?"
Shaking her head she stated, "If they even comment on it, they can suck my dick."

We stared at each other for a solid five seconds before bursting out in laughter. Well more like snorting.
"Your right I could give two fucks less about what they say."

Tilting her face slightly to the side, she said, "Good. Now that that's sorted, are you going to help me finish this pile of carbs and fat or not?"

"Only if we watch a movie."
She turned on her TV and went through Netflix as I climbed under the covers of her warm bed. After searching for a while, we both agreed on watching My Name.

AN: I know this is really slow-paced but these two chapters are just fillers. I'll try to get the boys to come on the next chapter.❤️
