Prologue

The Gladiolus represents strength and integrity. By giving a gladiolus to someone, the giver sends the message "you pierce my heart" to the receiver. Gladiolus can also represent remembrance.

Looking back at it now, things weren't too bad. I mean, weighing the goods and the bads... I didn't lose too much. But what I did lose was a hefty amount, and I'm sure I can never replace any of it. I never have been able to anyways.
