George sat in his room. Staring at his window, it was dark outside and he loved that. He loved the secret of the night, like a protection from the world. Like a big coat you can hide in. A safe place without the wrong illusion, that your eyes give you from the world. George's thoughts were interrupted by a buzzing, coming from his phone.
Alex
when do u want me to pick u up?
10 minutes?
alrighty see u:)
Alex and George were best friends since they were four. They always talked about everything in their lives and made everything together. Of course they've been talking about Clay as well: The day at the cafe was just like an awkwardly romantic movie scene and that was just too funny to them, so they decided to go to the party.
George has never been in such a situation. Of course he talked to strangers sometimes, but he was never really comfortable with it. The situation with Clay on the other hand was so chill and it didn't make George uncomfortable at all. More like safe.
Alex
Come down
your beloved arrived don't let me wait
George couldn't resist the urge to smile at the message. He walked down the stairs and put on his beige Converse, they fitted his outfit. The black jeans and the beige sweater also looked well with his black wet hair. His lashes had a little mascara on, so his dark brown eyes would seem a bit bigger. George liked his look.
"bye mum!" George yelled through the house.
"bye, honey, be careful!" George's mother answered.
"I will, don't worry!" George said while walking though his door.
Alex already waited leaning back at his car "Can't you just hurry up once?" Alex laughed.
But just George just jokingly rolled his eyes in response and got in the car. Alex looked for the location Clay send George for the party. The house was just 10 minutes away from the brunet's. While Alex was blasting Taylor Swift songs and both of them singing to them, George still kinda got nervous. He didn't like parties that much, there was always so much alcohol and sweating bodies and cringe games like truth or dare. But he was exited about the thought meeting Clay again.
When they finally arrived, they couldn't take their eyes off the house. It was stupidly big had many huge windows. George got even more nervous because he saw how many sweating bodies were already inside, but he knew he would leave as soon as he got uncomfortable.
"Jesus, George, is Clay a fucking millionaire?" Alex said excitedly.
George still couldn't really answer, so Alex took his hand and dragged him inside and started dancing. Clearly the brunet was not that interested in dancing so he went to the kitchen to make himself a drink. Also if he didn't like alcohol, the last thing he wanted, is being uncool on a as huge party as this one. George didn't put much in the cup, so that it looked like he already drank some of it. George would describe himself more as a smoker than a "drinker".
Finally George started looking for the blond boy, but he couldn't find him anywhere. After a while he just gave up and looked for Alex. The brunet found him not long after in a hallway. He was sitting with two other guys and hold a joint in his hand. George just joined them, took the joint out of Alex' hand and took a deep breath through it.
He looked at the two other boys and smiled friendly. One of them had really fluffy brown hair and was pretty tall, the other one was a bit smaller and had dark blond hair. They looked pretty nice.
"Can I introduce you to my new friends" Alex asked looking at George, a little calmer than usually. So he was already high.
"That's Nick" He said pointing at the dark blond boy "and that's my man, Karlos" pointing at the taller one. "Karl, Nick, that's George"
"Hey, George!" Karl said grinning at George. Karl's smile let George's heart melt.
"Hi, George" Nick said more calm, but still very kind.
"Hi guys!" George waived at them "are you friends with Clay?"
"oh yeah" both of them said at the same time "Clay is actually my stepbrother and moved here a week ago..." Nick explained, but abruptly stopped.
"Wait, you're George, you said? Clay told me about you, you're the cafe guy" Nick said still really chill.
George got really uncomfortable at the sentence and just cringely nodded. But it didn't bother him a few minutes later anymore. After the four of them talked a little, George got a little tired, so he decided to go home.
"Allrighty, I'll go now, but it was really cool meeting you" George said and waived as he walked away. When he finally got out of the house, he breathed the fresh air in like he's been locked in a room without air for hours. But just as soon as George was about to leave, he heard a deep voice behind him.
"George?"
