Hello lovely readers, sorry for posting so rarely. I plan to get on a more frequent posting schedule soon, but I am really busy with school right now.
I hope you enjoy this next chapter and thank you for understanding. :)
________________________________________He led me by the hand down the stairs and through the deserted halls. I held the urge to let go of his grasp and instead let my eyes focus in the dark. After a few minutes however, I started to grow impatient.
"Where are you taking me?" I whispered slightly angrily.
I could almost see him grinning through the darkness as he responded, "To have some fun, you like fun don't you?"
"Not if it'll get me expelled." I responded with a renewed frown. Any kind of 'fun' for Theo was not a good kind.
A few more moments of silence dragged on before I heard a click and Theo whisper to me, "In here."
I reluctantly followed and when the door closed behind us, I found myself to be in the office of our headmaster.
A look of horror dawned on my face and beside me Theo laughed.
"No...no, no, no." I started saying, making my way back out. I was about to reach the door when he threw himself in front of it. I looked at him with great annoyance as he spread his arms over the exit.
"You owe me, Maeve." He said, eyes staring down at me with knowing trouble.
I took his words in and slowly backed away from the door. He sighed and let his arms hang again.
He went over to the desk and searched the drawers while I watched, a pit growing deep in my stomach.
What was I doing?
Finally, the rummaging stopped, and he held a tiny tube in his hand. I scrunched my eyes to see what it was, but the dark wasn't helping.
He saw my confusion and walked toward me, holding the bottle.
"He keeps his shampoo in the desk drawers now, apparently someone stole his last ones right out of the shower."
He said this with a contained laugh quivering in his voice, suggesting he was the one who stole the last tubes.
I am about to ask what on earth we were doing with his shampoo when he pulled out a kit from seemingly nowhere. He set the kit down on the desk and began unpacking the contents with focus.
I walked forward to see this peculiar process and said with a hint of awe, "Why am I supposed to be here, Theo. It seems like you have this under control."
He kept working, not bothering to turn his head in my direction, and said, "Trust me, I need you here."
I stayed silent after that and content myself to watching his hands work. Before I knew it he was finished and packing up the kit, but I didn't see any difference.
"What did you do?" I asked.
He placed the bottle back where he found it and said with a grin, "You'll see."
