Your family was new to Korea, you were still learning Korean, and you had no friends. You know that this is for the better though. This was something your parents wanted you to come along to. Even though you were old enough to live on your own. You couldn't bear to be so far away from your parents. This was something that wasn't a debate for you to even have. You made the conscious decision. Your parents had bought a pretty nice house close to a pig farm.

"Honey!" Your mother yelled for you from downstairs. You finished your Korean notes and ran downstairs. She was in the kitchen wrapping a plate of her famous homemade cookies. "I need you to give this to our neighbors." She told you. You looked at her, confused. To your knowledge, that farm could have been harming the animals. You had no idea what to expect out of the neighbors. However, you weren't really in the position to say no. So, you grabbed the plate and put on your shoes.

You made your way to your neighbors home. It was lovely in your opinion. You were blocked off by a fence. You couldn't use your hands due to the plate until a gorgeous boy appeared. He had light brown hair and a mole above his lip. He looked at you and quickly came to help. "Oh! I'm so sorry." He apologized before letting you through. You smiled at the gentleman. "No, it's fine and thank you for the help." You told him. He signaled you to follow him after he closed the fence.

"Welcome to my family farm. My name is Haknyeon." He said politely. You were shocked. He spoke in a way I could understand easily in Korean. He smiled at me. You couldn't help but blush at how attractive he was. "Nice to meet you Haknyeon. My name is [Your name]." You told him, and he opened the door to his home. You looked around the place. It felt very cozy. He grabbed the plate of cookies from your hands.

You bowed politely. "Thank you for opening your home to me, Haknyeon." He looked at you. "My pleasure. You must be the new neighbors, right?" He asked me and I nodded before following him to the kitchen, where he sat the plate on a dining table. He took the plastic wrap off to eat a cookie. He took a bite and smiled widely. "Oh, wow. Who made these?" He said with such excitement. You chuckled at how cute he was before answering. "My mom. She's a cook and she loves to bake. She'd love to make you food." You told him, and his brows raised in shook. You could tell he liked food, but that was just the icing on the cake for you since you were the same way.

"Maybe, we could eat together sometime?" He offered, before continuing, he looked like he had something to say. "You are new to Jeju aren't you?" He asked. You nodded to answer. "I sure am. I'm American." You told him and he smiled. "Wow, I haven't been outside of Korean yet. Is it nice there?" He asked excitedly before grabbing one more cookie. You grinned a bit "Uh, It's okay. Very different right now due to COVID but I loved it there. I hope that I can find my place here." You explained to him, and he listened attentively. He finished up the cookie before looking at you.

"Well, I'll definitely show you around. I know a few good places that I feel like you might enjoy." He told you before putting the wrapping back onto the plate.
