Chapter 15: I'm Feelin' So Cool

The beginning process in shooting this documentary, for me, was a new experience because I did not like opening up. Not at all. 

I'm not saying I regretted all that I have told everyone that would be watching the documentary, but it is a documentary. 

I was meant to overshare.

Or I thought so.

It was over at least, and Joe, thankfully, started to get into this new thought of bringing the band back together again, and I couldn't say I could be happier from his decision.

I was actually afraid he would start doubting it again, but it turned out well, and now we are going to go on vacation with the brothers and the wives.

Ryan emailed me, telling me that we would be finally announcing the reunion on February 28th, and then officially coming back with Sucker, March 1st.

Joe and Kevin were all pretty excited, and I'm just gonna be that guy for a second that steps back with a proud smile on his face, just clearly saying; "Yeah. We'll be doing all that."

I'm not gonna get excited, but I know I am.

The documentary shooting and traveling we all did during the process of actually making the video tired me out, so Joe kind of suggested the beach vacay, which was a nice way to start reliving like we were before this.

Well, live like a married man.

"Babe, can we hurry up, please?" I called up the stairs, trying to avoid the annoyance in my voice. "Joe and Sophie are waiting outside. With everyone."

Priyanka's heels clicked down the stairs as she flashed a big smile at me. I can't get mad at that.

I smiled weakly, "You look really beautiful. Now, come on."

She tucked her hand on my bicep and I took the bag from her hands, making our way to the van.

I felt Joe's eyes on Priyanka as we approached them on the driveway. I couldn't help but give Sophie a small smile. I couldn't avoid Joe getting those weird thoughts on me, thinking of Sophie as anything other than a sister-in-law.

"Hey, so what beach are we going to?" I said, jokingly as we all got into the van. (I greeted Kevin, Danielle, and the girls)

Joe did a whole show of flipping open the brochure, "There's this really nice beach resort thing, in which I have really no clue where, but I'm thinking it's in Hawaii... Yeah, it's Hawaii."

Priyanka and Sophie chuckled into their hands whilst Kevin took the brochure from him, "No, it's the Maldives, idiot, it says here that the owner of a resort from Hawaii owns that same resort in the Maldives."

He smacked the brochure down onto Joe's lap with a snap and gave him a glare.

Joe shrugged, "Wasn't reading it right."

I let out a sigh and turned to Sophie, who was staring out the window, "How're you feelin'?"

She smiled and stretched her long arms, closing her eyes, "I'm feelin' so cool."

I nodded, returning the smile, "How cool?"

She shook her head, still smiling, "Top to the bottom, just cool."

I chuckled softly to myself at her recklessness as Kevin leaned over to Sophie, "If that was a song, it'd be Nick's whole personality in a song."

This made me laugh, "I don't say that—"
