A week later...
"So ladies and gentlemen! We call it a day, but please don't forget about the research assignment I have given to you because if you do then I'm sorry to say your CGPA would drop drastically" said by Professor JY before leaving the lecture hall.
Students began to mutter out, making the class really noisy.
" Hey you Arya!" A guy from the back seat called while walking closer to where I was seated.
" Yoo my guy Whatsup" I said as I extended my hand for a handshake.
" Cool oo and you?"
"Cool" he said as he sat at the empty seat next to my left.
" So whatsup with this semester?" He asked as he raised his eyebrows
" Well this semester would just be the same as last semester, tho there would be some little changes because you know this semester is taking us closer to our final year project so we have to put much efforts in the remaining year we have to graduate" I said
" Hmm.. he heaved a sigh as he continued, yeah that's very true, hoping this semester would be good to us as the others" he beseeched.
" I pray so too" I muttered.
" But when did you arrive?, Cos I wasn't expecting you to report today since you made it clear to me that you might not be coming this week due to some unknown circumstances" I said as I raised an eyebrow.
" Yeah that's very true, I wasn't also expecting to report this week either but I just happened to, you know" he said steadily.
We continued to chitchat for some minutes when the next lecturer came into the class which made Sisu go back to his seat( yes that is his name), Sisu and we have been close friends and also a roommate since our level hundred days, he is also from a wealthy family and one thing I liked most about him was that he wasn't a show off type just like me, anyway it's not like I'm being too proud of myself it is just a fact.
The class became absolutely quite as we got ready for the next lecture, two hours later the lecturer was done lecturing us and that was actually our last lecture for the day.
I stood up and packed my handout in my bag, I waited for the population to reduce before I leave the hall and there came the assistance of Sisu, we continued to chat while the population reduced then we headed towards the exit and went to our hostel to freshen up.
From the hostel to our lecture hall was quite a distance, so I made no hesitation to get myself a motorcycle to and fro the hostel.
Within no time we arrived at the hostel, we freshened up and decided to go to the popular restaurant named "TRY AND SEE" within the premises of the hostel.
The menu was presented to us and we both decided to go for kenkey and hot pepper with tilapia plus some aleefu stew ( leafy vegetables) to go with the hot pepper, After eating we ordered for Sobolo to wash the food down.
When we returned back to the hostel I decided to call Mina to check on her, she answered after some few rings.
We exchanged some pleasantries before she told me she was still in class that she would call back after their lectures are over, I said alright and ended the call.
I checked my time and it was almost time for Zuhr prayers, I went inside the bathroom and performed ablution and waited for Sisu to do same as we headed downstairs to the Masjid which was located just opposite the hostel we were in, about ten minutes later we finished Zuhr prayers and headed back to our hostel to change and go to the basketball court to release some stress, we played till it was almost time for Asr prayers.
After getting back to our room I decided to take my shower first and performed my ablution before Sisu also did same, we went to the Masjid together and performed our prayers after praying we decided to read the Qur'an for an hour before returning back to our hostel and Sisu told me that he was to go visit a friend of his at the other hostel to which I said okay to him then he left the room, immediately the door was shut I got a call from Mina.
I smiled as I quickly answered;
" Assalamualaikum" she greeted
" Wa'alaikum salaam warahmatullah wabarakaatuh"I responded, then continued
" So how was lectures today?"
" It was okay, though it was quite hectic"
" Aww sorry"
" That's alright, and how was yours today?" She asked.
" My dear it wasn't bad, just that they are bombarding us with alot of things".
" May Allah see us through" she prayed.
" Ameen thumma Ameen".
" So what are your plans for the rest of today?" I asked.
" Well just got back from lectures and now I'm hoping to take a quick shower then rest my head" she said with a yawn.
" Okay I would leave you to take a rest, after prayers I would call you. Hope that would be okay by you?"
" Sure it would thank you, bye!"
" Bye" I said as I hanged the call.
I place my phone on the side table, while I laid my back on the bed to catch a nap.
