"Antonio!" Bella cried, she jumped into his arms in tears, clinging onto him as he rocked her back and forth.
"Oh Bella," Antonio signed, he didn't know how to deal with this, he could count on one hand how many times the girls cried on him like this.
"Bella, I'm sorry." He didn't know what he was apologizing for, in fact he shouldn't be apologizing, he should be finding Edward so he can mount his head on the wall.
"He left! They left!" She whined, she looked a mess if he was being honest, brown hair all matted up, skin paler than usual, and morning breath that beats the heat of a dragon.
"I've heard," He knew he had to get the girl out of the house, maybe a walk in the woods would do her some good.
"Wanna go out and hang with big brother?" He smiled, gently swaying from side to side with her.
"We can go out to eat, shop, walk, or simply talk with each other." He gave her a kiss on the forehead, "anything you name it." He wanted her to feel better, he also wanted to understand what completely happened when Edward left her in the woods.
"Yeah," she sniffed, "that sounds nice." She pulled back, with a confused look on her face.
"When did you get back to Forks? How long are you staying?" She kinda realized that this was her first time seeing him.
"I've been here for about two days," Antonio shrugged, "handling business." He wasn't gonna tell her exactly what business, he would rather have some secrets left when the time came and that wouldn't happen with Bella.
"Two days?" Bella mumbled, "why haven't I seen you?" She didn't know he had his own place built yet.
"I'm not staying here, I've got a place out here in Forks." He could see her face falling as he spoke.
"Y-your not staying here?" Bella whined, close to crying again, "why not? Is it because of me?" She frowned, already planning on heading back into her chair by the window.
"No, no Bella, nothing like that." Antonio stopped her, "I just wanted a permanent resident nearby." He smiled, "so I was closer to you all without bothering anyone." He couldn't reveal his family yet while she was in this state, maybe when she's better but at this moment it's better to just beat around the bush.
"Permanent?" She whispered, she made her way back over and nodded.
Why did she have to be so close just to nod at him, he didn't know but he wasn't going to get upset since she was moving and talking more than she ever had.
"Her dressed Bella, we're going out today." It was early afternoon so they had time, he wanted to take her out on a walk, while Kiba dropped off a car for them since he forgot and flew over here.
"Okay." She nodded and like a zombie walked out the room and hopefully into the bathroom.
"Well then." Antonio signed, he knew this day was going to be long, he already spent his entire morning up in the reservation and now he was going to spend the rest of the day out doing random things that Bella probably didn't care about in the first place.
The things he does for love, and he really does mean that.
"Antonio." Bella walked out in a towel, that was either the quickest shower he ever saw anybody take, or he was too busy talking to himself to notice the time drift by.
"I'll wait downstairs," he was quick to hop up and make his way down into the kitchen. He'd be damned if he stayed in there and watched Bella get dressed.
"Fuck," he snorted, he had a chance now, whole Akeno was handling the Stray he could get Kiba to check out the house while he had Bella away from it.
