They shepherded the Doctor into a secret SHIELD base and left him in an interrogation.
“I don’t like the look of him.” Natasha said, leaning on the bench to look at the tiny man on the screen.
Nick Fury grunted. Clint smiled. “You say that about everyone.”
Tony chuckled good-naturedly and interrupted before Natasha could respond. “Too bad he isn’t human.”
“No,” Bruce said, detached with scientific curiosity. “What an oddity. Scans say he is humanesque, but not on the inside. Two hearts, and the results say he’s at least a thousand years old.”
“Hmm,” Tony murmured.
Steve looked at them. “So, enemy or friend?”
“No idea,” Nick said. “That’s your job to find out.”
Tony lifted up his head. “So…who wants to go in first?”
